Christina's 'Beautiful' video features full on snogging, this one one shows a brief kiss.

Out of all the music videos they could censor, they choose probably one of the best at this present time.

We should all complain somehow.

if it was 2 girls kissing - it would be kept in

My blood is boiling. I am so outraged.

I'm absolutly fuming about this.
It's almost unbelievable how anyone can legitimatly censor a gay kiss in a music video these days. I mean surely that contravenes a law somewhere?!

I'd be shocked but sadly unsuprised if it were censored in America, but over here i'm appauled. The video and song have an entirely positive, peaceful message and the fact that that has been censored clearly projects the idea that tolerance and acceptance is wrong and offensive. It makes my actual blood boil.

Plus, not like it should even matter, it's not even a good kiss!! Its basically a little peck!

Surely more people are going to be offended by this censorship than those who would be 'offended' by such a sweet, progressive and harmless gesture?!

Exactly and " Beautiful" has been out for nearly 8 years now and I haven't seen the two male snog censored, not even once. And in 2010 "Fireworks" video, they're censoring as you said a brief snog. Surely someone made a dumb error or this just is going backwards, not on.

That's why I asked the question earlier.

Call me cynical but it sounds like a great PR stunt...

I really like the video. It tells so many good stories like the boy who stands up to his dad, the not-even-really-that-fat girl who feels insecure and the boy with a terminal illness. It sends out a really posotive message and is the best music video I have seen for a while.

The fact they choose to edit out a harmless gay kiss is awful. Half the things in California Girls music video were ruder and they were kept in.

Saw the video earlier (around 5ish) and it wasn't censored then.

Personally males kissing disgusts me but I still wouldn't want it censored out in a video, each to their own and hopefully this turns out to be another false story

I dont think it has been censored, there are no other reports when I did a google search... I think we can climb off the soap boxes (me included!) - phew! just seen it again and theres no pixels or anything like that.

I love living in the modern world where headlines eclipse talent.

I agree, and I don't really understand it.

I've seen firework music video many times on the music channels and the gay kiss hasn't been censored, maybe they'll censor it now.

I had Chart Show TV on in the bar i work in earlier tonight and the video came on at about 8:30-ish and it definitely wasn't censored. The gay kiss was there unpixellated.

Glad to hear all these reports of it not being actually censored. To be honest I found it hard to belive it would be censored here in the UK in the first place.

Absolutely ridiculous. How far have we come? Not far at all. The amount of straight stuff they plaster everywhere for people to see, and *THIS* got edited out? It's really offensive actually.

I'd understand if this was Peru or Uganda (I watched an English film in Uganda where they showed someone getting the sh#t kicked out of them but censored the word 'gay'), but this is the UK!!! We've come so far in establishing gay rights and now this happens- I actually think A LOT of straight people are also going to think 'What's the point?' when they see that censorship.

Btw- does anyone else who's seen the uncensored version get the impression that the guy who's received the kiss isn't actually gay, he's just pleasantly surprised and amused? Kudos to the guy for coming out by getting it on with such a hottie!

I'm actually surprised that something like this would happen in 2010. Surely it's only been done for the controversy?

I was totally gonna say the same thing regarding Xtina's video

I remember seeing that video always on with the dudes kissing. It didn't phase me despite being young then but i guess being brought up in a open minded family is perhaps has made me the person i am today.

I have no idea how they could justify such a thing.

The whole article seems to be a lie, cause it also mentions the video on youtube is marked as private now. It totally isn't, I just watched it - gay kiss and all!

It's probably been a case they just censored it on some random music channel, maybe a kiddy one like PopGirl or something.

Yeah, it's very strange. Although I'm glad they didn't do it in US considering the amount of LGBT teens who've taken their own lives recently.
