Last night Aliona and Kara drew the short straw........both awful.

There seems to be quite a bit of recycling going on amongst the men too.
I was half expecting them to have to pass their shirt on to someone else after their dance.

,..... and as for Michelles dress... toilet roll holder with red bra hanging out. And her hair ? what was going on there ? Poor love, she didnt stand a chance!

My favourite costume of the night was Michelle's and it looked much better than I was expecting. I loved the contrast of red and white and the way the bra and epaulettes sparkled was just fab! The translucent fabric of the dress draped beautifully (no toilet roll cover here) and the way the skirt was used as a cape by Brendan was great. 10/10 for me.

I also loved Katya's dress - fab colour and the fluffy bit was brill! Pamela looked amazing in her Jive dress, but I knew as soon as I saw Felicity that all those flippy frills would be wasted. I'd have love Kara's AT if the dress didn't have the cut out sections and I can't stand that hat with or without sequins. Patsy's dress was too pale for me.

I thought Pamelas was a nightmare! It looked like she had begun the Las Vegas theme a week early.

I didnt like Kara's dress at all I wish she had gone for a traditional black lace number for the AT.

Aliona's looked like she had got her hanky stuck in her knickers......dreadful

I quite liked Michelle's I thought it was a bit different from the norm

I agree that the actual dresses never look as nice as they do in the drawings on ITT.

I really didn't like the loose shirt look , and it was far worse on Vincent than on Matt .Dreadful.

It seems to have become a case of " How much flesh can we get away with ?" for some of the ladies' costumes .

Aliona's was the worst out of the women.
The men I rarely notice but Vincent's shirt was - well, who did it really belong to? A grown-up?

Artem's an adonis...... but please don't put him in sequins.

Katya's dress was lovely, Both Brendan and MIchelles I didn't like but the worst was Pamela's which once again reminded me of bacofoil. I'll agree she's lost weight but would be very much surprised if it's 2 stone. She also needs to stop doing that inane smile throughout the dance,

I am sure the BBC have been buying particular fabric and colours in bulk. It seems that there is basic pink and blue, running through each show.
There were several of the women all appearing to be wearing the same pink, last night.

Of course I may just be needing to change the colour on my TV.

I think I'm in the minority, but I've generally preferred the costumes this year to last year. I wasn't keen on the fabric Natalie's was made out of which kind of looked like shiny plastic/rubber to me, which is something I seem to recall they used for a few of the dresses last year.
Aliona's costume yesterday was hideous though I think. Those black bits on it looked like strips of black bin liner to me.

Definitely change the brightness. There were 3 in bright pink of which each shade clashed horrendously with the next. One pink top even clashed with the pink panels in the skirt.

Maybe it would be better to keep it as it is then

The costumes this year are sort of average. Apart from Ann, there is nobody that Wardrobe seems to be struggling to dress, making them look a fright week in week out. But there haven't been many WOW! dresses - maybe two or three, that's all.

I had though that a giant moth was hiding in the costume department wrecking havoc as there seems to be so many cut outs this year. Kara's outfit would have been so much better if there hadn't been so a great big hole in it

if I remember correctly this was confirmed on ITT a couple of weeks back - they did a feature on costumes and the designer said something about not being used to doing dance dresses and that she needed to remember they are on some levels sportswear but that she also had to make them in keeping with fashion. Something like that anyway.
