Does the fact That Kids In America is not in Itunes Top 200 (as of 10.45pm) mean....

that One direction are getting less votes than those artists who songs are in the top 200? (albeit original artists)

Simon said they were the most exciting boy band in the world and last week the Beatles were mentioned.

This must be right surely if Simon is telling us they are that great.

No, it doesn't. Although iTunes rankings can SOMETIMES be used to gauge the popularity of acts, it is in no way conclusive, especially in the case of One Direction (who might not have the most people voting for them, but who do have a lot of hardcore voters who'll vote more than once).

Plus, they were last to perform, and it's likely that a lot of their fans will have downloaded their version rather than the original (if, indeed, they chose to download any).

Said it before in another post, it really wouldn't matter if 1D came on stage to no music or anything, they would still get the Tweenie/Pedo/weirdo votes.....

Well, Cher's song was top 10 on iTunes for most of last week, so that's a good sign.

Seriously though, there's not much relation between iTunes and who gets votes, mainly. Like Rebecca's song is #11 on iTunes now, but it was #14 before it was performed.
