Strictly has been anything but a dance contest for a long time now. Pure panto!

If the final this year includes Ann and doesn't include Scott and Kara, I will not be watching Strictly again. I gave this show a pass last year after the Hollins won it, hoping it was just a flash in the pan but if it happens again this year, I'm outtie.

Hollins was a much better dancer than Ann though, leagues better.

Granted but he wasn't even in the top 5 of his year and he still won it. Unfairly in my eyes but hey, that's the public vote for you. I just think it was the start of the who cares about dancing when they're funny aspect. It had reared it's head in the past but never to that degree. I'm just worried that last year coupled with the changes in the show this year leaning more towards entertainment as opposed to dancing will leave the door open to people thinking Ann should win it

Linking Chris to Ann is an insult to everyone who voted for him. Their appeal is in no way similar.

And Chris actually made an effort to learn his dances - which is more than can be said for Ann!

If ann wins it will be hilarious. Ridiculous for beep producers to be bleating now, they knew the score when they put her in the comp. I hope she does win.

Where is Ann in the poll? First second or third? Because if she's second then she may well go in the semi, and if she's third then she definitely will. Should she even get that far.

Definitely!! I, along with many, many others, am a Chris and Ola fan - and not ashamed to admit it
There is no comparison between Ann and Chris - he was a really nice guy and tried his best and ended up a pretty good dancer.

I put up with Chambers winning, I put up with Hollins winning, I will NOT put up with Widdecombe!

Proud COLA fan here too and to even suggest Ann and Chris are in the same league is preposterous. I voted for Chris because their partnership was endearing and actually made me smile and albeit not the best dancers, they at least COULD dance. Where as Ann...well, I can't even put that into words

I am praying Ann wins this, just to see the judges' faces look like smacked arses again. Also lol producers, I'm voting Ann just to spite this show.

Oh we can't put Tom Chambers in the same league as Chris Hollins Tom was a good dancer, it could be argued that he wasn't the best in his year but it was close, a lot closer than Hollins to any of his competitors last year.

To be clear, I wasn't saying Chris was as bad as Ann at all. But IMO he wasn't anywhere near the best in his year either and from a dancing standpoint, did not deserve to win.

At least two of us are in agreement I am a bit disappointed cos the Cola Appreciation thread seems to have vanished from the Appreciation section and I enjoyed having a chat with other COLA fans

As for the judges, they couldn't care less who wins. They'll do their best to get the good dancers through, but they're being paid anyway and will doubtless move on to other projects if SCD folds.

The only people who could lose out really are the public, because it could ruin the show forever.

Because the producers have showed nothing but disdain to the viewers.

The show is already beyond saving, it had reached this point 4 seasons ago. It cannot be rescued now.

If Ann wins this it;ll be the fianl nail in the coffin for SCD, it's longevity will be ruined. Any celeb with an ounce of dance talent won't bother signing up.

Thats so true , who would be bothered learning a dance and looking good and then beaten by someone who couldnt give a toss.

According to the NOTW poll, Matt is on 19%, Scott on 17% and Ann on 15%, so Ann could go before the final, certainly. However, if she gets a surge of support, she could make the final quite easily.

Well based on that she can't even be more than 4 or 5% up on the people in fourth and fifth. She's screwed (ironically enough) - she can't even scrape above 15% as the only comedy contestant.
