still find it hard to watch without Arlene.

I loved the experienced judge and have to mute when alesha talks.

Still LOL

She's gone and doesn't look to be coming back!

Alesha was really impressive yesterday from the brief bits I caught.

caught some of the show and I have to disagree she did not impress with dance knowledge just subjective tlc. It would be good to have a knowledgeable person like Arlene in place of alesha so that we can learn about dance.

I still miss Arlene and find Alesha most of the time of little use as a judge. I will give her credit for last night though, her comments and scoring were accurate unlike her fellow judges.

I don't like Alesha much, but I don't miss Arlene much either.

Too many of her comments were scripted and she was an atrocious abuser of alliteration.

She is never going to have the knowledge because she's not a professional ballroom dancer, but I think she has improved though from what I have seen.

The only thing I dislike about her is that in interviews she comes across as quiet arrogant.

Yes I'd like to see Arlene back. I'm not intending this is a dig at Alesha though, there is room for 5 judges I'd have thought.

Can't stand Alesha but I was relieved when they got rid of Arlene. She was often a lot ruder than Craig by series 6 (unless she was perving over one of the males). I'd personally like to see the lot of them replaced next series by former pro dancers (not neccesarily ones that have appeared on strictly, although probably Camilla, Nicole, Lilia, Darren, Ian or Matt have the ability to make a good job of it) but I know that's unlikely to happen.

I'd just like 4 Judges who can offer an honest, knowledgable critique without descending into bitchiness

I found it hard to watch when Alliterating Arlene was on. She had the most grating voice, and the perving over the young men was cringe-worthy. I mean, I perve over them too, but not on national tv .

I didn't rate Alesha much last year, though I felt sorry for her with all the vitriol that was spouted against her. This year she is much more confident in her role, and despite my dislike of bad grammar, I often enjoy what she has to say.

Agree - and would add the word "shrill" into the mix too.

I never thought I would, but I also thought Alesha came across as the most sensible judge last night

Arlene was dropped in my opinion because she was extremely rude and personal about John Sergeant. I for one don't miss her at all, yes she had a lot of dance knowledge, but not specifically ballroom and latin. Alesha has grown into her role, and I find myself agreeing with her more and more. Karen Hardy would make a fantastic judge!!

You have said the most accurate post on this thread and I agree with it.

I loved Aleysha when she was a contestant. However, I do not think she should be a judge. She was trained to get through a 90 second performance. Sometimes when she makes her comments you can see the pros are uncomfortable. It would have been better to replace Arlene with a judge who had danced professionally and therefore in my opinion more qualified to comment.

I don't agree with your first lot. But Karen Hardy as a judge, yes, yes, yes! That would be perfect.
