Failed Foxsat HDR recordings Sat 6th Nov

Did anyone else have problems with series linked recordings on the BBC last night?

I had failed recordings on the following:
Strictly (originally set on BBC HD)
Merlin (BBC1)
Football League show (BBC1)

I occasionally get the odd failure, but this level was unprecedented. I was wondering if the inclusion of the new BBC1 HD in the EPG had caused problems with the codes?

I just hope it's not my Foxsat going down the tubes.

Didn't have failed recordings as such, but QI and New Tricks (on BBC 1HD) after recording ok, failed to pick up next episodes on series link. Thought this might have been due to the new HD channel but this also happened on a radio 4 series link. Other recordings have picked up the next episode ok. Hope it's a BBC problem and not my Humax Foxsat HDR.

It would do no harm to delete all your BBC1 & BBC HD series links and then re-request them. Bit of a pain, but I did it just to be on the safe side and so far no problems

Strictly Recorded fine on my hdr. Did you remember to reschedule series recordings on those programmes that switched from BBC-HD to BBC1-HD

Yes, I did that after the Series Links for those channels seemed to break.

On top of which the MotoGP quali on BBC HD failed to record. And just realised that after setting a one-off record of the race I forgot about the Xtra coverage. Which as it is something the BBC fail to put on iPlayer is a tad annoying.

I had Downton Abbey and Man Lab recording simultaneously last night and both recordings stopped at 22:03. They are both flagged as failed for unknown reason although Man Lab had actually finished by then. Smells like a box glitch but not seen anything like that before. Have to record the Downton repeat to get the rest of it.

Yes, I had excitedly cancelled my SD series link and re established it on HD. Given the HD quality I might just as well have left it and saved some space on my hard drive!

The radio series link is strange. On trying to re-do it I now find that there is no series link info in the EPG. Guess that explains it - down to the BBC I guess.
