It looks like Jo Goode's partner has passed away. She must be feeling awful - I hope Ben can contact her and send his condolences.

That's very sad news it must have been quite sudden as he was on Jo's show with Ben a couple of weeks ago.

Only briefly here - but just to let you know that Ben does know about this - is in awful shock - and says his top priority at the moment is to support Jo as much as possible - the London cabbies who used to listen to George's show in the night are apparently organising a night vigil in his memory outside the BBC tomorrow night (I think) - it is all terribly sad - and Ben is doing his best for her

Ben is on Jo's show tonight at 11.00pm as usual but this time with a stand-in presenter (which he says 'will be interesting' ... whatever that implies)

One of my close friends lost her husband very suddenly at a similar age a few weeks ago and she is in pieces - it is so difficult to even take in what has happened

I know Ben is doing anything he can to be of help

Thanks for that, UV - love that Ben is so supportive and the cabbies vigil is so touching. Hopefully the depth of how much people care will permeate through the awfulness of her loss and help give her strength to face the coming days.

I think I may have found the reason that Ben thinks tonights show will be "interesting". The other guest on after 11pm this evening is his biggest fan, Russ Kane

Grrrr wonder if he'll let Ben speak this week or whether he'll shout his down like he usually does?:yawn:

Russ Kane is a idiot, 2o years doing radio and he still does not know not to talk over people, still the host put him straight so maybe next time he wont ruin the show.

Russ seems to have verbal diarrhea and doesn't like sharing the airwaves at all, least of all with Ben. He could at least try and hide his obvious dislike of him Ben is always so polite and charming back to him as well, others would probably give him a mouth full back.

That's probably the best way to deal with people like that. They find it irritating if others don't rise to their bait and when they continue their little digs and the other person remains polite they end up looking silly. Ben did well.

I've heard Ben mention Eurovision before, so I think he maybe IS a fan. He does love music after all. Although whether or not you can call the entries in Eurovision music is another story

I wonder how well BB will do on Ch5 as the ratings for the BB winner's show is going downhill despite heavy advertising:

I think Ben made the right decision to do C Coach Trip which pulled in 2-2.5m every day and being a regular on BBC radio and Royal Wedding watched by millions....

Ben apparently was on a Sky Living show in the last week or so. Could you find it?

The show was called how to hold onto a prince,Ben was being interviewed and had the title royal correspondant.
