Yes I knew she was a cat lover. It was something that bonded all of the Bennites together, we were all cat lovers.

I am spending a lot of time making new Friends on Facebook at the moment and it is most strange ... even my political friends seem to love cats ... one American friend who lives in Cairo puts a new photo of a cat every single day as her profile picture ... says if she stopped people would now think there was something wrong ...

Her cat is being looked after by her friend now. Thank goodness for that.

I'm devastated by this news. Mids was a wonderful, witty, passionate poster and a genuine firecracker. It was a pleasure to post longside her and an honour to get to know her - just a little - away from the boards. You're spot on UV - the gems get cast off on here while the humourless pedants sail smoothly on. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

Another fellow cat lover here who just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear about the lovely Mids.
Unlike a lot of you I didnt know her personally, but I did love her postings on here, in fact I linked to one of her threads on the Court thread just the other day, it was so hilarious.
She was hugely missed from here, a genuinely funny and articulate lady.

Patsy ... as so incredibly often I find that I do very much agree with you ...
This was a really sad thing ... and I know that it was a rotten experience for her too ... especially as it was undeserved ...
It was the moment when I started to move away from DS a little as it did not feel like the right kind of environment for the brave, clever, funny people any more ... they seemed to be marginalised ... and Middy was the epitome of the brave, clever and funny ... she really really was ... a special one ...
Saddened to hear the news .... Condolances to those near and dear. Good to hear her cat is being cared for.

I was only looking through DM's on here the other week and noticed that I still had one from tinytee. She was the founder of the Island and also sadly passed away not long after BB11. So we've lost two Bennites now Life really is so short and anyone of us could be taken at anytime
It feels a bit wrong talking about anything else at the moment, but Ben filmed something for the Tonight show on ITV recently. It's something to do with Prince Harry and will be shown either later this month or in February. So keep a look out for it

Like many here I was devastated to hear of her untimely death.
I happen to be going to the area of Scotland where her ashes lie on Monday. I'll be making a trip to the remembrance garden to say my goodbyes. I'd said on TiBB that when I talk to her, I'd make sure to pass on all the kindly wishes she'd received online. I wish to assure you these will be the DS ones too.

Sadly Glitterlady he doesn't get to appear BBC London as much as he used to because Jo no longer does the late show. The new late show is a lot more serious as well.
