It was very impressive when I was there. It looked more like an Apple shop than an engineering company.
Congrat's on the day trip though. I'm sure you'll be very impressed. From what I've seen on the telly it's amazing.”
It was an amazing place, really enjoyed it.
Got to see Hamilton too, who drove up in a Mclaren MP4.
There was a lot of classic and modern McLaren F1, Indy and Sports cars to look, touch and climb into, a tyre change timed challange to take part in and an amazing arrange of trophies won through the years.
They laid on some good demonstrations with talks from the staff on how it all works and one excellent one showing off all the composite technology.
I was amazed at how all the parts, even down to sellotape were meticulously labelled in the thousands of draws and cupboards in the many workshops. It was spotless and even the canteen with free drinks and refreshments was gleaming.
Only dissapointment was the wind tunnel, although large, it only used scaled down kit versions of the cars.
Id recommend a trip there to anyone, so get to Vodafone VIP and try for the next one, they said they would be having one or you can pay as there were a number of corporates there that day also who had paid.
