In hindsight, it would have been a great gamble from Webber to pit as soon as the safety car came out. He really had to do something out of the ordinary, as passing Alonso was always going to be a big task.

Jenson took that gamble in a race at the start of the deason and was accoladed as a 'great call' on his behalf.

I like that saying and I respect people who can admit stuff like that. I'm not a Hamilton fan but I know what a bloomin' good driver he is!!

As for forgiving you.. I'm not that kind.

Poor Webber. I think he's given up.

One thing I'm learning about my self is that I really don't want Vettel to win the WDC

I wanted him to win but Webber simply doesn't deserve it on this showing. Vettel and Alonso have been the best two drivers this season, it's pretty much right that it's between those two.

I am the opposite to you.

Come on Vettel!

I'd happily see Alonso win it too.

If Alonso and Vettel DNF - slim chance - Hamilton will win the championship. He's probably best not taking a risk considering he needs Vettel and Alonso to DNF no matter what.

1. Hamilton
2. Button
3. Rosberg
4. Kubica
5. Petrov
6. Webber

Looks like Kubica is going to be in front of Alonso.. so that's three he has to overtake. *sob*

Mark looks like he's just going to sleep.

Soooooo... come on Hamilton!!

I agree that Webber is shaming himself here. Ok he may not like the idea of Vettel winning the championship but a true racer would push for his own pride.

I don't normally support Red Bull massively, but Vettel would be a thoroughly deserving winner.

And anyone other than the Ferrari scum winning would be something to celebrate!

What a weekend for Renault. Kubica will take Rosberg when he pits.

For Hamilton to win the Championship Alonso must not score a point, unlikely if he keeps on going and Vettel going out would mean Alonso gains yet another place.

I have to say it has not been a great race bar the pit strategy, it's sad that Alonso can be .4 secs of
Petrov yet no opportunity to overtake, would hope new tracks could address these issues

Eh I'd prefer Vettel to Alonso I suppose, Red Bull are *kind of* a British team

Kubica ahead of Alonso.

Oh he went wide over there - could a drive through penalty be given? It would be harsh imo.

I am suprised he hasn't taken him although Kubica could have just helped him if he gets a penalty.

I have lost alot of respect for Webber today.Once again Alonso made a mistake and Webber blatantly could have been on his bumper but he didn't even try. Why are the commentators not picking up on it?

I'm just going to have to accept that Vettel is champion aren't I?

Mind you, he's driven great today. Very deserving.

If Vettel wins this race and the Championship, the Renault Petrov and Kubica should share the top step of the podium with him.

Just to show how exciting Championships have been this season. The points gaps between 1st and 2nd in 3 of the last 4.

2007 - 1pt (from 2 drivers)
2008 - 1pt
2010 - 2pts (likely)
