I would also like to see Webber win the championship if not Hamilton.

Hamilton in this race paying the price for being stuck behind Hulkenberg for too many laps at the start.

Red Bull win the Constructor's Championship. Congrats to them!

Massa let Lewis through faster than I expected.

Hmm...well you never know. Come on Lewis. Win the final race and take the title with a miracle.

Fernando Alonso 246
Mark Webber 238 (-8)
Sebastian Vettel 231 (-15)
Lewis Hamilton 222 (-24)

At least Alonso didn't win

Congrats to Red Bull! If one of them has to get the driver's championship too then I hope it's Webber. Good luck to both of them though.

Should be a tense race in Abu Dhabi.

I dislike Mark now and would prefer Seb to win, if Lewis doesn't, but i cannot understand why they did not swap the cars.

Alonso would have to not finish for Lewis to beat Alonso, I think short of something hugely dramatic lewis is outta contention.

Hulkenberg ruined that race for me with his dog in the manger driving. Why didn't he piss off out of the way and let us have a really competitive race

Well done to RBR on winning the constructors championship

have a feeling they have just cost themselves the WDC thoe.

Does anyone think not releasing backmarkers when we had a safety car has ruined a potentially great race.

No one wants to see cars trying to pass cars 10 places behind them in the race. It never use to be this way, and fingers crossed they will have seen this and change the rule for next season. The result was fair, but we missed out on a fantastic finish.

So if it's the same situation next week.. 1. Vettel 2. Webber 3. Alonso.. no doubt the Bulls will swap round then to wrap the title up for Mark.

It's theirs to lose IMO.

I am very pleased for Red Bull. I hope that Webber will take driver's champion as well.

But imagine if they did that and Alonso blew up on the next lap. Vettel would be spitting feathers!

Very true. I imagine Mark would have a little chuckle to himself though.

Swap them back.

Can't really blame Jenson for not wanting to hang around in Brazil.

Although I bet security is stepped up for all the drivers for the rest of their stay. At least there was decent security in the first place.

Having watched that little VT, i'm feel like i'd really like Red Bull to beat Alonso. I just wish Mark hadn't become so arrogant in the later stages of this season. He was so likeable when he took the championship lead. Now i prefer Sebastian Vettel.

To be honest, I've always found Mark to be arrogant. So I want anyone but him to win the championship (preferably Vettel over cheating Alonso).

I'd love it for Vettel to win it. What would have to happen postioning wise for this to happen?
If Vettel wins and Hammy and Button get 2nd and 3rd with Webber 4th and Alonso 5th who would win?

I think Webber is just having the pre-title wobble that Hamilton and Button both had.

If he remains calm, he knows that if he is 2nd next week to vettel in 1st, vettel will move over (confirmed by horner) and he will be champion. If he wins, he will be champion. So as long as Redbull are strong at Abu Dhabi, he just has to bring it home.

There's a championship calculator here; you can play with the scenarios to your heart's content: http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/championship-calculator/

Yes, I have that feeling too. If the Red Bulls had engineered a swap then Webber would only be a point behind Alonso. Meaning that Alonso would have to beat him in the last race and Vettel could greatly assist Webber by acting as rear gunner.

As it stands now Alonso doesn't have to beat either Vettel or Webber in the last race to win the drivers championship. So come the last race if Webber loses the championship to Alonso by less than 7 points then he will have the right to be aggrieved at his Red Bull team.
