I said on another thread SCD and XF are no longer about the dancing and singing, but just about people voting for the worst acts in both shows, Ann cannot dance and Wagner cannot sing, yet you will get people voting for them because they are sad to think it is funny.

I do not think Ann or Wagner are funny, not even at the start, just embarassing and they do not realies that all the people voting for them are doing it to take the piss so they can do it again next week.

Actually they are mostly being voted for to spite these self righteous producers who think they can continue to come up with garbage and get away with it.

I am not voting for Ann but tonight Ann Michelle Felicity Scott Patsy Gavin and Pamela all got more votes than Jimi so it was the publics fault no one elses.

And some people are sad to think these shows are actually credible dancing/singing competitions rather than entertainment shows, especially X Factor.

Oh I don't think so, I predict a backlash, there's more than a whiff of certainty with her 'I've got the samba in two weeks' comment that people may find unattractive.

And some people are obtuse enough to think an overweight woman being pushed around and her mouthing off being generally rude to the judges and the hosts constitute 'entertainment' and is 'funny'.

What are you talking about? The producers want to keep Widdecombe in as they think it boosts ratings. They think a substantial part of the viewers only want to see Anton and Ann's laughable 'dancing', hence they are always on near the end of every show. Plus they get Len and Craig to do the good cop/bad cop routine to encourage the dumb herd to vote for her.

As long as craig keeps giving her two's the public will keep her in.

I bet Anton can't believe his luck!, he is probably going to be in longer than any other series!, and i do think he is having fun, because he must have thought at the begining that he would be out within a couple of weeks so to just enjoy himself while he was there and to me he looks like he is having a ball.......

I don't think he has fun at all. Ann is a handful and Anton cannot do anything about it. I think he's trapped. When this backlash comes, he'll be even more unpopular than he is already right now (because of the P*ki fiasco last year).

May I ask, rather than monstering people on here because you disagree with them voting for Ann and Anton - that you voice your disgust at the BBC - the GBP DID NOT select the contestants for this years show THEY DID - whether or not you think it is "silly" and/or "stupid" for people to vote for them - it is irrelevant as it everyones CHOICE to vote for exactly who they want just as it is yours to vote for the good dancers. So please stop being uppity about peoples choice as no-one is calling anyone for voting for the better people.

I repeat - the BBC picked the contestants - and at the end of the day the GBP will always vote for the underdog - quite honestly it would be a far less entertaining programme without the likes of Ann, and her predecessors Kate Garraway, Julian Clary, Chris Parker etc etc. If it didn't suit the BBC's purpose they would surely after all these series stop picking the "lesser abled" who apparently have no right to be there or be voted for
