couldnt agree more.. John actually found it hard when decent dancers were going out and he was staying in. Think that is why he did the right thing and left at that time, Ann I feel your turning a dancing competition in to a joke time to go.

That will make SCD a farce if Anne does make it to the final. People will go off her trust me.

Putting someone like Ann in the show was a calculated risk - after what happened with the lovely John Sergeant. I don't like Ann (too much political baggage) and she can't dance. The BBC have sacrificed too much of the original purpose of this show now, because it is a popularity contest and not a dance competition any more. That is unfortunate for those who really want to become good dancers and were also entertaining (as dancers, not comedians).

For me, Scott wasn't entertaining this week, but he is a good dancer, so had a bad week but deserved to stay. Michelle and Jimi both are improving, both deserved to stay.

In fact, everyone except Ann has improved or can dance, and I enjoy watching them. Ann and Anton are a comedy act and I don't even find them funny.

BBC deserve this situation, but it doesn't make me happy. SCD is a good show and I don't want to see it get worse and worse.

They didn't go off Chris Parker and it couldn't have been that much of a farce or the programme wouldn't have continued

But if Ann and Anton win, their victory will be meaningless. They won't have won on talent, so it means there's no point in any serious competitors aiming for the glitterbal next year.

ooo-er I barely even watch the show and I'd never dream of wasting my money on voting for anyone, so don't blame me.

Oh and some people are just boring

First couple of weeks it was funny seeing her stumble through routines. There is one thing though unlike John Sergent AW is charmless and aggressive. Its all very well playing the part of a 'battleaxe' but one of her comments last night after Craig said she spends most of her time on her backside was that she should swap places with Craig, oh so shes good enough to be a Judge now?

The difference between then and now is that the first series was much shorter with only 8 couples. Therefore Chris only took out 2 serious contenders in Claire and Lesley. The series didn't last as long so there was less time for people to become outraged. This series there is far more time for people to become enraged and far more couples who are worthy finalists. So I do think that more harm will be done to the programme should Ann get to the final.

I think that what happens is that the people who actually VOTE are the ones who try to keep the likes of Ann and Wagner in competitions. Others watch the show and have their favourites, but may have long since given up voting on reality tv. Or they Sky plus the show and it's too late to vote. Or, like me, they spend their weekends out of the UK and can't vote.

I think the rest of the pros should get together this week and plan to do slapstick routines with their celebs. Then the people who watch for "entertainment" will be happy, and Ann will be shown up to be crapper than the others even at being funny. Also, the other celebs should think up their own "witty repartee" for talking over the judges, instead of standing nervously waiting to hear if the judges rated them.

Poor Jimi was done over by being well up the leader board for once, and by people switching to save Scott, who certainly didn't deserve to go after one weak dance (after being so good every other week - and I say this as someone who doesn't like him much as a person).

I'm not sure that I have. Smug? Yes. Charmless? Absolutely. Talentless? In dancing terms, yes, certainly. Sack of lard? Well, a little cruel, but not that inaccurate, really.

She should never have been on the show, and I'd love to see her go. It's unfortunate that she's lasted as long as she has, and all she's doing now (with the help of her fans) is turning the show into a farce, though admittedly it's probably been that for some time now.

Anton is having a ball - look at his body language, either they're both incredible actors or they adore each other. He doesn't have to keep hugging her.

He looks happier this year than he has in ages, I think that for once the heavy 'work' is off, his celeb is never going to be able to dance, so there's no responsibility to get the best dancing out of her, and he's in his element just enjoying himself. What's really surprising me, is that Ann Widdecombe is coming over as having fun. I didn't think that was possible.

Thats exactly my thoughts Sliver, he looks at happy as a sandman he knows he has no pressure to win and is just enjoying himself, you only have to study his face and actions to see he is having the time of his life!....

I repeat - the BBC picked the contestants - and at the end of the day the GBP will always vote for the underdog - quite honestly it would be a far less entertaining programme without the likes of Ann, and her predecessors Kate Garraway, Julian Clary, Chris Parker etc etc. If it didn't suit the BBC's purpose they would surely after all these series stop picking the "lesser abled" who apparently have no right to be there or be voted for”

The BBC may have started it by including her but I reserve the right to think that the people voting for her are making the wrong choice.

I have no problem with people who aren't good at dancing being included they all get the chance to show if the have potential, to improve and to entertain the public even if they can't dance technically well. Ann does none of those things, her "dancing" is not entertaining in the slightest.

Suppose you see SCD as an entertainment show then, it should be a dancing competition instead. Len is like a rabbit caught in the headlights for grading Ann higher, so she can stay in. BBC shouldn't have picked her in the first place.

I'm happy for Anton, but Ann having fun when she has no intention of actually learning to dance seems unfair, when the others are working hard.

I can't dance either but I would feel bad if someone really talented went out at my expense.

I think there is an element of arrogance in her demeanour, which has always been there, and we won't see the self-deprecating humour and self awareness that JS had in spades.

Well seeing as she's generating the vast majority of publicity for the show, surely the way to spite the BBC would be not to vote for anyone who has made headlines at all? Which would leave you voting for Michelle or Scott! Personally I think the best way to spite the producers should you wish to do so would be not to contribute to their ratings, which is all they really care about after all!

I don't think Anton's having fun at all, and I'm sure given the choice he'd have danced with any of the other female celebrities unless all he cares about is publicity, which I don't believe is true. He's being bossed around and belittled when he's supposed to be the teacher, which would drive most people crazy eventually!

Quite right, thing is they do it to get votes from

1, People who hate her and vote for her

2, People who love her and the notion of "David Vs Goliath"

3, To be fair when they release the marketing, the Anne mugs will be the ones to go for!

4, It means I don't need to watch until she goes / leaves / mysterious injury

How true. And he had the grace to retire when he realised that good dancers were being voted out because he was being kept in.

The BBC plug Ann at every opportunity, we might as well give up on the show this year.

Strictly has always been an entertainment show. We don't want it too serious. For me...Ann is the entertainment / comic turn.

On Jimi, (who I liked by the way) I think the judges have been really unfair on him, really from the off. Two weeks ago, he did a really good performance...but the judges criticised him big time.

Think this is a good idea! There is enough acting talent left to pull it off. Whether the professionals would agree and understand it another matter.

The total disregard for the effort the dancing contestants are putting in is what annoys me most.

Tango Trish, will you get down off you high horse and tell me how I am "monstering" (as I have never heard of that word) anyone.

I simply asked them WHY they were voting for Ann in what is meant to be a dancing competition, when it is obvious she cannot dance at all, even the judges that are there because they supposedly know what they are on about, have voted her last every week.

I did not "monster" anyone, just asked a simple question, that has yet to be answered.

I do not watch the show, my wife does, so I could not really give a monkeys chuff if Ann walks off with the title and shoves it up her jacksy in the final show, I do not like the show, so in fact Trish, get back on your high horse and go fir it again, as I really could not care what you say or even think about me.

I like Anton...and to be fair, the routine he and Ann did this week was well choreographed, entertaining and good fun. What surprises me is Gav...Mr No Personlity...but then...he gets the teen girls, house wives and gay vote doesn't he.

Currently the non-Ann votes are spread too wide.

There are still 8 other couples to share the votes.

When it gets down to about 5 or 6 couples Ann's share may fall enough to be voted out.
