2.1? Strange to be updating to a version of Android which was out of date 6 months ago.

Tell us!, Sony are being quite belligerent about the upgrade to 2.2 stating that there are no major improvements, which is tosh. And even with 2.1 they haven't added that much.

The problem with the SE phones is that the hardware is what is limiting them! SE, in all their wisdom, did not even give the phones multitouch... On top of that, they use their own skinned version of Android which is a lot more basic than even the "vanilla" OS.

It's a lovely phone and has some of the nicest looks around, however the software is what brings it down.

I've got an X10 Mini on the O2 Network. I'd be interested to hear if you think that the upgrade to 2.1 is worth it i.e. makes that much difference.

Didn't seem to male that much difference although some previously unworkable apps work fine now. It does seem to be a bit faster. Now all I need is 2.2 for my Pulse mini (here's hoping)
