Ne ideas on what i should do?
Rite i just recently bought a motorola V500 on orange pay as you go, just that i get a very crappy signal from where i am and my fone always switches onto vodafone r some other network.
Now what i wanna do is either get the fone unlocked so i can put in my O2 sim and get my good signal r is there neway i can get O2 on my orange sim card as it is allowing vodafone etc?? Using orange UK at the mo btw... Cheers in advance |

I imagine what it's doing is switching to Vodafone for emergency calls only... AFAIK all networks have an obligation to carry emergency calls, regardless of whether they are coming from a subscriber or not.
The Motorola V500 can only be unlocked by you using a cable, you'll need to order an original Motorola USB data cable (or clone), part #SKN6311A. Then search the web for V500 unlocking and you'll find software to download that unlocks the phone once you purchase unlocking "credits" - usually somewhere in the region of $10-$20 using the cable. Alternatively to avoid that, you could ring Orange and find out how much they want to have the phone unlocked. If it sounds reasonable then pay it. A data cable is £15 minimum plus about £7 for an unlocking credit, so you can work it out. |
