Confused over DS article - Mark Ronson and Michael Jackson
Carmen Queasy

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/ne...-on-album.html

The first line from it:

Mark Ronson has claimed that Michael Jackson's own vocals will be included in his forthcoming posthumous album.

It makes no sense to me. Am I missing something?

Of course Michael Jackson's vocals will be on his posthumous album... otherwise it wouldn't be a Michael Jackson album, and I'm pretty sure Mark Ronson is still alive, hence he isn't releasing a posthumous album.

Is this a mistake or am I missing something?

I think there was some controversy over whether the vocals on his posthumous album were actually Michael Jackson's, or whether an impersonator was used to cash in on his death.

And Mark Ronson produced one of the tracks, so he's saying they were definitely Jackson's vocals on the original track he got sent.

If you Google it, there's quite a few stories i.e. http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/20...-real-or-fake/

I think the meaning is pretty clear. The "his" is referring to Michael Jackson not Mark Ronson obviously. Mark is saying MJ's vocals will be on the album because they have been rumours and some people have questioned whether MJ is actually singing on some of the tracks that are being released. Some people were saying that the songs don't actually include MJ singing but someone who sounds like him.
But if Mark Ronson didn't actually meet MJ or spend time with him in the studio but was just sent the tracks, I don't know how he can be 100% sure MJ recorded the vocals.

Ah, right, I see! I never knew about those rumours... but now I do the article makes more sense. Perhaps the article should have mentioned the rumours, though

Cheers.

They would NEVER be able to get away with a soundalike! No-one sounds like Michael, even though many have tried to impersonate him, obviously. Anyway, no-one needs to impersonate him because we already know he'd done loads of recordings that were gonna build to make his next record, whenever it arrived.
