Eubank"s Jnr will be nipping at the heels of Saunders now.

I had it by 1 point, so the knockdowns were crucial. Hell of a lot of nothing much happening though. I think/hope there'll be a Eubank Jr rematch. This isn't the bad old days of nameless WBO ranked contenders; Boxnation needs to make the big fights to survive, and that fight makes the most sense.

Fight was poor. Andy Lee waits for too long.
Listening to BJS on IFL after the win he isn't fighting Eubank anytime soon at all. |

If, as to be fair to him he has proved, BJS believes he steps up a level according to his oppenent, then surely he's got to go for GGG? |

Didn't see the fight. Was listening to the later rounds on radio and even the commentators seemed bored. They mentioned the travelling background of both boxers more times than it seemed punches were thrown.

GGG would floor BJS for damn sure, and Billy knows it.

I was incredibly wrong about Enzo not beating up an old man.
Quillin got annihilated in 30 seconds BJS is a pretty good boxer who will go far I think. I'm still not impressed by Joshua at all. |

I read on Twitter that Jermaine Taylor has been jailed for 54 years.

Bruno became unmarketable after the 2nd loss to Tyson. Pity, I think he would have hammered WBA chump Bruce Seldon.
But, lets face it, Don King was in it for himself; all the fighters including Tyson mean't nothing to him. I think Bruno might have carried on fighting had he not re-developed the detached retina problem but it was obvious the second real bad loss to Tyson affected him badly. Tyson/King was a bit odd after he came out of jail. Tyson fought Seldon and beat him easily as he did with a few other fighters before coming a'cropper with Hollyfield but I think he gave up the WBC Belt and paid Lennox Lewis 3 Million stand aside money because he didn't want to fight Lewis around 1996. I always wondered what happened to the reported 250 Million dollar deals money that Tyson was supposed to have got from both HBO and the MGM after he came out of jail? If he really was paid that money, how could he just let it dissapear which he seemed to have done as he seemed to be in very tough times money wise in the late 90's! |

BJS has no problem admitting he wants no part of GGG. If his asked he says it how it is and GGG is the guy to avoid unless his offered a silly amount of money.

Might have been witherspoon i was thinking of. Thought he only fought tyson once? I know he had tyson in the first round but couldn't finish him. It was the first time tyson had been shaken and many thought it was bruno that give other fighters the belief that he could be stopped.
It was right at the end of the fight & it was a massive overhand Right that caught Tyson & Mike was on wobbly legs for a few seconds at the very end of the fight. It makes you wonder what would have happened if Boneclutcher Smith had stopped holding Tyson like Mike was his new girlfriend & started firing back a bit earlier, what would have happened? |

He has been a totally shot fighter with no punch resistance ever since he stepped up to heavyweight then rapidly lost a lot of weight to fight again to fight at light heavy. It is well known that rapid weight loss, made even worse after putting so much on quickly, leaves fighters empty shells and dangerously vulnerable. He's lucky he's not been put into a coma by now. I cannot understand why his licence wasn't taken away years ago? Shame on all those still promoting him and training him etc. |

Bonecrusher Smith shook Tyson to his boots with one of the very few punches he threw that night.

I also wonder how Tony Tucker would have faired had he really tried to win, rather than just go the distance. Tucker was better than Douglas and look how easily he destroyed Tyson. |

I see Haye's fight is going to be shown on Dave. Probably not the high profile comeback he was hoping for so far.

Yes, Boncrusher got cut early on and from that point on he was only interested in lasting 12 rounds.

Khan v Brook - Brook by late KO. Golovkin v Alvarez - GGG by brutal mid rounds KO. Kovalev v Stevenson - Kovalev by monstrous KO. Kovalev v Ward - Ward could just produce a miracle and outpoint Kovalev - but then again he might not! Saunders v Eubank Jr II - Eubank on points. DeGale v Groves II - DeGale by mid to late rounds KO. |

He probably won't turn up now! ![]() ![]() If he does actually show up for this contest (a big IF, I know) & he's anything near to what he was in 2012 & before, he should win comfortably. |

Yet you still have people seriously suggesting that a prime '67 Ali would have been defeated by Tyson.

Tyson would have been an extremely dangerous opponent & we know Ali could be susceptible to Left Hooks & Mike had dynamite in both hands, allied to blistering handspeed, but Ali was just as fast, if not faster & he had a much bigger heart & better stamina than Tyson. Ali would have had Tyson raging before they even got into the ring & Mike would have eventually wilted under the pressure. |

I think the '67 version of Ali becomes dominant after the mids rounds and stops Tyson late - possibly on cuts.

For what it's worth this is my pick of the greatest fighters of all time in the eight 'traditional' weight classes.
![]() Heavyweight - Muhammad Ali. Light Heavyweight - Ezzard Charles. Middleweight - Harry Greb. Welterweight - Sugar Ray Robinson. Lightweight - Roberto Duran. Featherweight - Willie Pep. Bantamweight - Eder Jofre. Flyweight - Jimmy Wilde. |

Vlad knocks Fury out in the re-match for me. Then retires, or gets batterred by Wilder. Also, if the GGG fight is at lower catchweight, then I think that will be his first loss. |

No man who gets in the ring is a coward and I'm not the one taking the punches but it's sad to hear that BJS thinks like that. Frank Bruno and Ricky Hatton ultimately failed at the top level, but they didn't duck anyone. Shame.
