How many fights has he had in the last few years? I can't remember many at all.

From reading the stories today, like you say he seems to be running away from Brook, yet Khan was happy enough to bitch about Manny and Mayweather avoiding him. Although Manny today blamed Amir Khan's people for messing up that fight

Khan has taken idleness to new heights.

The guy is 29 years old but seems content to spend more time on social media whining about fights he hasn't had or was never going to get, rather than getting on & cementing his legacy in a smoking hot welterweight division.

Khan is in the prime of his life, but he seems quite contest to let his prime slip away & not do any actual fighting.

He could have had two fights with Brook during the time he has spent idle, whilst whining about not getting the Mayweather & Pacquaio bouts & arrogantly proclaiming that Brook is not a big enough name, even though Brook owns a world title trinket, something Khan himself hasn't had around his waist in 5 years.

For the record I think that Brooks kicks Khan's arse - and I really hope one day that he gets the opportunity.

Khan has been mouthing out yet again about Mayweather this weekend, he had this to say;

He's living in his own hype. Once you retire, nobody remembers you and Mayweather is one person that not many will remember because he’s so arrogant.

I do wish Khan would just shut up now. I am pretty sure in 30/40 years people will remember Mayweather yet have no idea who Khan was. Still can't believe he is still trying to call him out

Why should Amir Khan fight a lower profile fighter just to appease those who don't seem to like him much in general? By that I mean its been obvious ever since he first suffered a loss that there are a significant amount of haters out there on him who just want to diss him all the time and never give him any credit.

Khan has had around 34 fights in the last 10 years and that is a lot. That averages to more than 3 a year and there have been plenty of Heavy Weight Title holders over the years who really take things easy and only defend every now and then but they never got slated like Khan does. I think people just wish to see him get beat again and they moan if he doesn't get it on with the person they prefer who might beat him even though I'd rate the guys Khan is chasing much higher than Kell Brook.

If I was Khan I'd tell Brook where to go until he showed some respect towards him. Its obvious that Brook has been green with envy about Khan ever since Brook first won the IBF belt. I remember the look on Brook's face when asked about Khan then and it was obvious from the look on his face that Brook neither liked him nor respected him and then said "Amir Khan can get in line". Then shortly after his first defence win, he starts calling Khan out. What was that about getting in line? Just 1 defence of a wait? Oh right.

It also looks like none of you have noticed that Khan does quite a lot of charity work both abroad and he was helping the victims of flooding in Carlisle recently I think it was too. He also has a very young baby daughter so if the likes of Mayweather, Pacquiao and Garcia all deny him a fight, I don't blame him for being picky in who he does fight.

Garcia imo is definitely the toughest out of all the current Welterweight fighters and the Light Welter Weights so if Khan is chasing him rather than Brook, then surely you should be giving him credence for that rather than slating him?

Also the IBF Belt is a major problem for Khan. The IBF didn't strip Lamont Peterson of the Light Welter Belt when he failed a drugs test after his fight with Khan and Khan said he would never fight for the IBF belt again, but you think he should? If he does get it on with Brook, then Khan should live up to what he said before and have a non title fight with Brook and take more of the money as a result which he's being offered anyway.

They were big punches and it was good to see him bigger. Haye banned me from his twitter handle and it must have been because I warned against him chasing AJ as AJ is too big but after seeing the AJ/Whyte fight and Haye's performance here, I think Haye is big enough and capable enough of giving AJ a run for his money now. I doubt though that Haye would be able to take AJ's bombs for long but the key for him would be not to get caught and do good stick and move tactics while landing his own bombs.

I would assume you would agree that Mayweather and Pacquiao were well justified in not facing Khan or entertaining a fight with Khan due to him being the much lower profile fighter?

Again I refer back to Mayweather. Mayweather the biggest star in the sport yet Amir Khan was telling the world how he deserved a fight v Floyd, how he earned a fight v Floyd. He gave mayweather a deadline which is just absurd. He claimed Mayweather retiring will be looked at negatively as he avoided Khan. He claimed Mayweather took the easy option in facing Pacquiao instead of him etc etc

Was this behaviour ok or should he of shown more respect to the #1 fighter in the world at the time?

Amir Khan is a former Olympic Silver Medalist winner and did brilliant in the Olympic Games of 2004. Did Floyd or Pacquiao do as well in any Olympics? Certainly Kell Brook didn't who is 6 months older than Khan, turned professional before Khan and took 10 years to win his first world title where Khan won his first world title in around 4 years. On that basis I think Khan was more than valid enough in calling for a fight with Floyd and now Pacquiao especailly as Floyd has always been brashful and makes out that he's the best ever in Boxing, so what's he worried about?

Having said all of that, I'd personally like to see Khan return to Ligtweight if possible as he seems to have lost his punching power moving up in weights and if he can get back down to Ligtweight, I'd like to see him fight the remaining years of his prime trying to dominate that division and maybe fight heigher weight division guys at a counter weight to make it more of a level playing field. Kell Brook looks like he has always fought as a natural Welter Weight where Khan started off in the Lightweight Division etc etc

As for Khan's fights, he fought 6 times since 2012. That's not too bad considering he keeps on calling out Mayweather and Mayweather has made late choices in who to fight and that probably didn't leave enough time to get it on with another major fighter. What does the Olympic background have to do with it. The facts were Mayweather was the biggest start in the sport and the highest paid athlete in the world. Khan was a guy who fought nobody at WW, has never fought on ppv in the US and doesn't sell out arenas in the US. He wasn't anywhere close to Mayweather.

Khan has fought 6 times but since he lost to Garcia his not fought one top ranked fighter. His moved to WW and fought Alexander, Callaso and Algeri. Beating those guys doesn't give you the right to fight Mayweather at all.

Khan couldn't even clean up @ 140lbs.

There is no valid reason why he shouldnt fight Brook and recieve the lionshare of the split. His just coming up with excuse after excuse. Will laugh so hard if Garcia tells Khan he isn't fighting him and will face Brook in a unification fight or the winner of Thurman v Porter.

How long have you followed Boxing? I ask because your question about what difference does the Olympics make shows a big gap in your awareness shall we say on this. Those who do well at the Olympics in Boxing are watched like hawks and are expected to do well as professionals. Lennox Lewis and Ridick Bowe fought for the Olympic Title in 1988 with Lewis winning and Bowe becoming Heavyweight Champion of the World in just over 4 years and Lewis being awarded the WBC Belt shortly afterwards after Bowe refused to fight Lewis.

Look at Anthony Joshua transformation from Olympics/Amateurs to the professionals and how much he has been watched/followed. The same thing happened with Khan and why its relevant is because you thought Khan wasn't high profile enough and he is. Khan is also a former 2 time World Title holder at Light Welter Weight too, much more than Mayweather's last opponent achieved right?

Its obvious to me though that the Light Middle Weight Division and Welterweight divisions are too big for Khan in terms of his punching power not being carried and he is much better off going back to Lightweight if he can make that weight properly and or go back to the Light Welter division. I'd prefer him to go back to Lightweight.

I don't hate Khan; I actually quite like him & would love to see him fight.

The welterweight division is hot & he has a lot to offer, but he seems to prefer being idle.

I know other fighters have been idle in the past & I would criticise them just the same, especially if they did what Khan does & constantly talked about fighting but never actually did any fighting.

I'd be all for Khan think he had bigger fish to fry than Brook (although I don't know what gives him that idea) if he was busy fighting other better opponents, but he isn't; he's doing nothing.

If he is really chasing Garcia, then good for him, although I have to wonder why now & not three years ago?

Please do not assume that everyone who is critical of Khan is somehow just a hater.

I am very fair & consistent with my opinions & will criticise fighters that I do like if they do something that I don't like & vice versa too.

Brook v Khan would be an intriguing contest.

Khan is much faster, but Brook is a good jabber & a good jab is the way the negate extreme speed.

Khan hasn't done anything at welterweight of any real note, so he has no right to think that the welterweight division owes him a living, plus add in his idleness to date & Brook's title defences thus far have been against The Walking Dead, so both have a lot to prove.

I would give Brook the edge due to him being a seasoned welterweight & a big one at that, but I do believe Khan would pose some danger, especially now that he no longer believes that he is Tommy Hearns or Julian Jackson & has taken more to boxing.

I hope Khan gets over his hangup about Brook & realises that he is not the welterweight division & it could quite happily carry on with some cracking fights even if he decided never to fight again.

As for the the legends v Amir at 147, oh dear would just about sum it up.

I don't have time to look into your claim there but I doubt its true. You seem to give no credit to Khan's previous achievements, you're only focusing in on at Welterweight. I used to and still do have a problem with fighters of a higher weight division who imo hand pick good fighters from lower weight division to be their opponents, but with Khan he's chosen to move up himself and call people out and that's fair enough.

Sometimes fighters moving up in weight can still be lethal as what was quite predictable with Gerald McClellan when he moved up in weight to fight Nigel Benn in that brutal fight of theirs.

Also those of you having a go at Khan for "inactivity", I don't see hardly any other fighter fighting loads of times a year either. Which fighter does fight more than twice a year these days? That is what Khan has done on average since 2012 and had he got the fights with Mayweather, his average would have been higher too.

I seem to recall previous posts of yours praising Khan, I was talking in general about people hating him for the wrong reasons.

Khan wanted an immediate rematch with Garcia but Garcia's dad dismissed it straight away and I'm not sure why. It could be that he "fears" that Khan might be able to out box Garcia in a rematch or it could be that reason and that Team Garcia want to take on all the rest first before revisiting any previous fights/fighters.

As for why does Khan want Mayweather and has been chasing him for so long for and now Pacquiao too. I think the answer is obvious and that is that Khan is a glory chaser/hunter. People have accused him on other forums of just wanting a big pay day and then quit regardless but he's made quite a lot of money already and if he wanted more, he'd fight more regular for what is bound to be good money each time, but no Khan likes to chase the glory and too much too, its cost him bigtime it has.

Khan rushed into fighting in America and it cost him bigtime re the Peterson fight and how Peterson got away in part with failing a drug test. I think Khan should stop chasing glory all the time and play to his strengths and that is to work out which weight division is he at his strongest which he can make weight on. If its the lightweight division again, then so be it. He should fight whoever is the best available opponents in that division or fight at catch weights and then let other big names come to him rather than him chase other big name fighters around.

Terrible fight, pretty pointless really as the opponent wasn't even european level, impossible to judge groves from a fight like that and I am not sure what he is supposed to learn from it either.

This St Juste/Lafreniere scrap is brutal.

During the first fight, Pascal was brave as ever, but he was totally outgunned & outclassed by Kovalev, so I didn't understand why a quick rematch was thought to be warranted.

Saw the groves fight. Certainly didn't impress. His opponent did nothing. He needs far better opponents than that.

Kovalev showed a real mean streak last night backing off so he could prolong the damage.

Disappointed in Pascal, although I did think he was carring his left leg at times.
