Catchweight 152lbs. Floyd was never a 154lbs fighter and hugely outweighed come fight night but was a next level fighter and had very strong which people don't realise. With his quick feet and hands he beat Canelo in the middle of the ring as Canelo is flat footed.

I thought floyd would win but not a 12-0 shutout.

Yep. Fair play for taking the fight as it did surprise me when I seen it announced but Amir's chin has never been his strongest point and can't see him lasting the fight but very good test. If he wins (hope he does) then should set him up for a even bigger fight after

if khan stands there in front of canelo throwing flurries of punches like he has done in all his other fights he is getting knocked out in round 1, he is going to have to be on his bike for the whole fight, his defence and movement is going to have to be impeccable. he has never been that type of fighter so i don't see how he can win this fight. if khan trades with canelo he gets knocked out, if he runs canelo is going to cut the ring off and bust him up.

He will end up trading as Khan gets sloppy when he gets tagged. His main problem will be he doesn't punch hard enough to stop Canelo moving forward and Khan has no inside fighting game.

Canelo isn't the quickest and Khan no doubt thinks his superior speed will be enough but as we have seen before with Khan being quicker than his opponents isn't enough,

yep, canelo will laugh at khan's punches. even at light welterweight khan wasn't a big puncher, and even in that division his chin was suspect. his knockout loss against garcia wasn't even at welterweight, it was at light welterweight. since moving up to welterweight khan has not fought anyone remotely powerful with the exception of collazo who was old and washed up, he has fought a bunch of pillow punchers at welterweight. i assumed that he was cherry picking weak welterweights to protect his chin because he didn't want to get knocked out again, but now he's fighting a big strong middleweight, so i don't know what is going through his head at this point...

I suspect Khan is going to get KTFO but fair play to the bloke for taking on such a difficult fight.

We should see far more of this attitude amongst the elite, speaking of which when will Canelo fight GGG? Because that bout will end with the exactly opposite result.

Let's face facts, if Khan was knocked out cold at light welter and welter, how's he going to be at a heavier weight?! Probably dodgy.

At least it's for a world belt, and he seems to think he's a superstar who deserves massive money fights even though he hasn't held a belt for over 3 years, and despite the fact that he has been knocked out cold twice.

Brook on the other hand is unbeaten and looks rock solid. The better fighter? It's a no brainer imo.

Nothing against Khan though. Good luck to him in the fight, but his ego has got the better of him these days imo.

Was laughing too hard at a certain post last night to contribute to the thread. Then I was distracted by finding out that Rocky Marciano had died.

But like everyone else I can't believe the match-up, admire Khan hugely for taking it but think he gets KTFO. Wouldn't it be something if he can pull it off though? Much as I hate sanctioned catch-weight fights I'm probably subscribing for this one....

He is the supposed middleweight champion & the linear champion at that, yet he is continuing this catchweight 155lb tripe that Cotto specialised in & then he chooses a guy who is not even an established welterweight, let alone the best welter in the world.

Logic says he should steamroller Khan, but I think Khan's insane handspeed & newfound boxing will trouble the slower footed Canelo for a while, but I expect Alvarez to stop him eventually.

He's also taken to calling out Anthony Joshua!

Even as a kid I thought he really was no world beater - duffed up a load of journeymen and then got KTFO by a world class heavyweight - rinse and repeat throughout his career.

His horribly fake chats with 'Arry also made me bloody cringe.

Never rated Bruno.

He got lucky to win the world title and lost it before he even entered the ring against Mike Tyson in his first defence.

If Bruno does return to the ring, he definitely gets KOd.

Bruno wouldn't last a round if he came back.

He was slow in his heyday, but he's now slower than an arthritic snail.

He'd be a sitting duck & cannon fodder even for the most average HWs, let alone the real top flight ones.

I think he's lost the plot. His punches have little effect at Light welter let alone welter welter weight and he thinks he can move up in weight even more?

Unless by some miracle that he develops a whole load of new punching power, then his only chance is to win by the same stick and move methods that he did against Devon Alexander otherwise Alvarez is bound to catch him at some point with a hefty punch or two and it will probably be all over.

Khan is too much of a glory hunter and doesn't care or think about the risks involved in general imo. For that he kinda deserves to have had the losses and bad luck that he's had along the way. He should be a lot smarter in how he plays things in general.

Wasn't he the guy that Bruno KO by punching him to the stomach really hard and the guy was withering around in pain bigtime on the ring apron? If it wasn't him, anyone remember who Bruno done that to?

I'm surprised Frank didn't try that punch a lot more in his career after that.

On him coming back, I think Frank would be able to do some damage to the current crop with his great jab, but I doubt he'd be able to take much from the big punchers out there and its just not worth the risk. Especially as Lewis and Klitchsko struggled in their fights aged 39 so a 54 year old Bruno coming back is not smart.

I just watched the quite brutal second fight between Bruno/Tyson and It looks like Bruno tried the kind kind of body punch but it didn't work. Tyson was just too up for the fight and was prepared to take Bruno's punches and Bruno's punches didn't seem to hurt him.

Bruno on the other hand was not prepared to take any punches from Tyson while trying to establish dominance with his jab and that went against him, but Bruno's biggest achilles heel was that he could only take a limited amount of big punches before losing all his snap.
