“Super Featherweight, so same as Lightweight right? Where Amir started? Most of FM's fights seem to have been won by him dancing away from trouble while landing scoring punches. FM imo has never been an all out pressure fighter like Danny Garcia seems to be and as FM seems to have settled at Welter, he was on a similar path to Amir but like I wrote earlier, it was a mistake for Amir to chase a "Super Fight" with him in the first place and he should have stayed at his power division of Lightweight for much longer and definetely not have moved up any further than Light Welterweight.”
No Super featherweight is a division below Lightweight. Floyd at 130lbs was where he could really hurt fighters, as his moved up naturally his power isnt the same vs bigger men but unlike Khan Mayweather still can pop.
Fighters did not try and attempt to walkthrough PBF as his counters were accurate and hard enough to make you think twice about trying to hunt Mayweather down.
I don’t think Khan would ever have been able to stay 140lbs for long. His a big guy and you can’t kill yourself to make weight, not forgetting the money division was 147lbs, that’s where Floyd and Pacquiao where and Khan wanted those fights.
If he would of beat Garcia he would of probably stayed and tried to unify the division and then moved up to 147lbs as the king of 140lbs. After that defeat however there was a plan put in place for Khan to avoid punchers as he tried to get a megafight at 147lbs.
