LOL.

Another joke of a contest by the looks of things. Give these promoters credit, they know how to sell this garbage. And there you go - it's over.

What an awful card of fights so far, no wonder it's on Dave.

Just shows you how much of it is technique and mental strength. Shorter and lighter than the guy he was fighting, yet totally destroyed him.

I've always liked david haye especially at cruiser weight but this is just a circus.

Same. Careful though, this thread is quite large, there's bound to be some armchair experts that'll have a go at us for it

Christ this is bad, Haye is nowhere near world level, it doesn't matter how many name checks he shouts out.

Thought the whole production and card tonight was embarrassingly bad. Must of been at least 18,000 mugs who brought tickets to go watch it though.

They said if Haye beats (if lol another 1/2 round ko) Briggs he will be in line for a world title shot. So he comes back after a while out, beats 2 complete and utter bums and a guy near 50 and it gets you a title shot.

This is the best bit of the night, but there's no way the next fight will be on Dave

This is the worst card I have ever seen, complete rubbish, just a load of mismatches. How did they sell tickets for this?? As for the 'main event' what a joke, where did they get that guy from, he didn't want to be there from the opening bell and was useless. 29 fights unbeaten, I cant even imagine how bad his previous opponents were! Just shows that unbeaten records mean nothing without context.

I should've known when I found out I was on Dave that it would be rubbish!

It puts Fury as top dog into perspective when they see briggs v haye as a challenger fight.

Notice how they're not saying the next fight will be on Dave, Boxnation will sweep this up for sure.

I know the in thing right now is to bang on and on about how heavyweight boxing is back to its very best but for me it really is not. Personally I think Joshua is the only guy who actually looks like he could be the real deal. Still raw around the edges but he is young and can only get better but take him away, I still think the likes of Haye, Fury and Wilder and all very average and would of not lasted long agaisnt the likes of Lewis, Tyson and Holyfield.

I noticed the bloke Haye was fighting had 'Spar' on his shorts.

I presume that's where they found him for this fight?

And 35 year old out of retirement Haye bawls out the 44 year old mouthy Yank in a faux display of bravado to start the hype machine up all over again. The once noble proud sport of boxing is slowly going all WWE to hang on to an audience. Harry Carpenter will be turning in his grave.

Aye, the state of them, trying to build another nonsense fight up because both of them are completely skint and are now fighting pub doormen for a few quid.

The only bigger clowns than these 2 are the ones who pay to go to these shows.

Just turned over to Dave Ja Vu because I have been watching the cricket and then the athletics I recorded.

What the hell is this 'music' shite?

Because it's not entertainment in my book.

From all accounts the Haye fight was the most brutal heavyweight fight since the Thrilla in Manilla - I just cannot wait.

Why isn't anyone calling it a fix, like his last fight....the guy was paid to take a fall, as will the next guy...lets just call it as it is.

Yep. Haye wafted in thin air & Gherkin (or whatever his name is) fell over like he'd been shot.

I feel for Shannon Briggs. He seems a lot older than 44. Anyone remember a documentary programme on him when he was about to make his debut shown on Channel 4 I think it was in the mid 1990's? It doesn't seem that long ago but look how much things have changed. Having said that, even by 1998/99 when he got a shot at Lennox Lewis, I don't think he was in the best of shape then. He was quite bulky by then too.

The two main fights tonight though were complete mismatches and I think the BBBC needs to look at what fights they are sanctioning here!
