Hear hear.

David Haye is so annoying when he says he is going to fight Briggs because the public demand it.

Which 'public' is he referring to?

It's very curious how the so-called 'public' always clamour to see him in the ring with huge piles of manure like the useless Audley Harrison or the beyond ancient Shannon Briggs.

I wonder when the 'public' are going to demand that he fights someone like Luis Ortiz for example?

Perhaps he thought the Eubanks' main motivation was to avoid blame rather than genuine concern.

He should have directed that at his corner, who should have thrown the towel in earlier, he now just comes across as a sore loser.

Maybe the Eubanks perhaps didn't handle it in the right way, as far as the press & Blackwell's family was concerned, but they knew the fight should have been stopped earlier, if his corner had reacted like they should have maybe he wouldn't have been placed into a coma in the first place.

Unfortunately tragedies are far, far more common in boxing than fairytales - but here is the story of one of the most astonishing comebacks in the history of the sport.

What a seven minutes in the Bellew fight.
Frightening finish. Thank goodness his opponent is ok. It really looked bad initially.

That was devastating from Bellew.

Lol Eddie Hearn just said 'don't swear'

Bellew giving it to Frank Warren. Brilliant.

Yep, very good. You could tell the opponent could take a punch as well. More impressive considering he felt the power of the guy at the end of the first.

I liked what he said about Haye. Classic.

The fights last night & tonight, makes up for the complete mockery that was on the Haye bill last week.

He called Warren fish eyes as Warren said he could never win a world title.

He called Haye a bitch and said come back down to his natural weight and stop fighting clowns on a joke channel.

Very good! He shouldn't even give Haye's name airtime though.... Saying that, Haye v Bellew would get a big build up and be a good fight below heavyweight...

Why was Bellew fighting when it was still daylight

It remind me of a the fight in the Eighties when Barry McGuigan fought Steve Cruz and it was so hot as they were fighting during the day

No i meant, Why did they arrange the fight so it would start during the day. I thought usually fights start at night so more people would attend

It did start at night, around 10pm. Undercard started around 630... They can't really stretch it out any longer. It was pretty cold there by then as well.

Very happy for Bellew but surprised they wanted it held at Goodison Park, nearly all the actual stands were empty.

Well done Tony - life imitates art.

I only watched a few bits and bobs and the final fight from Creed on Youtube (having given up after the appalling Rocky 4 and 5) and thought he did rather well in the role of 'Pretty' Ricky Conlan.

I have not seen the fight but saw the KO on Sky News.

Saw the fight this morning. Was a bit concerned when bellew got knocked down in round one but he came back fantastically and what a finish. Thought he showed a lot of class at the end too when he was talking to makabu.

As Bellew is a life long Everton fan, how can it be a surprise? I'm sure Carl Froch wanted to hold a fight at city ground.

He seems an ok guy after fights but he drives me mad with his cocky shenanigans before the bouts .

I know all of that and I could understand it more if the ground was full but it was very far from that.

I read before they expected 30,000 people but at least 3 of the main stands were empty. Looked shite on tv

The ring was not on the half way line, it was about half way inside one half of the pitch... I imagine sales weren't as high as they first imagined so they adjusted things.

Atmosphere was good, but I've heard better at boxing matches. Anyway, the main thing is that he managed to fulfill his dream and fight there, and he got a very good win.... Would be surprised if more than 10000 there.
