I find that hard to believe to be honest. If you watched boxing for many years you would know that it was a good stoppage, and you'd know the difference between a good and bad stoppage.

you obviously haven't watched it for long then. i can think of countless fights that have gone on with worse bruises/cuts than that. you saying that it was a good stoppage tells me you know very little.

i think i am done with you. thank you

That's fine. Your aversion to that stoppage and your general posting suggests that you don't like fully functioning brains very much.

Feel like I need to step in here and say that you're spouting utter nonsense hunter23. Just because other fights have gone on with worse cuts and bruises, that makes it right does it ?

It was obvious to anyone with a mind that Brooks right eye was done. He was seeing, ironically, triple Golovkins. From the mouth of the man himself. So taking that into consideration, at the time in the fight, Brook was on the ropes enduring punishment (I'm not saying clean punches, but he was still getting hit with big shots), you think it was an early stoppage ? That tells me you're more into the savagery of the sport rather than the competitive nature.

Answer me this, do you think Brook could have won the fight with how it was progressing ? If the answer to that is no then the right call was made.

i can't say yes or no to that as anything can happen in boxing. his vision could've picked up inbetween rounds. ggg didn't look that good imo.

That knockout was coming fast. I wonder what GGG would have landed the Knockout blow number 3,4,5. Least Hearn had a good night.

Such a shame kell got a broken eye socket. Right decision to stop the fight. Hard enough trying to beat GGG without seeing 3 of him. Kell was in front on the scorecard too. Contrary to what GGG said about not hurting him, I think he did hurt him at least more than any other fighter has done. Had kell not received that injury he would have gone on a lot further. I certainly don't see kell going back down to welterweight.

Just said on tv, that Kell will be having an op on his broken eye socket tomorrow

Well done Brendan Ingle, possibly saving him from an even worse outcome

Amazed that some thought it shouldn't have been stopped. That was only ever gonna get worse to the point where it might be career threatening. Obviously kell would have carried on but thankfully his trainer did the right thing.

Decisions like this are killing the sport.
That stoppage would never have happened 20 years ago.
That trainer should lose his job for that.its a mans sport ffs.

Boxers have fought and continued with much worse than that.

Jermell Charlo
Jermall Charlo
Erislandy Lara
Saul Canelo Álvarez

But probably a few nobodies. Shawn Porter and GGG are the only real tests his had so far (Carson Jones 11 defeats to the name is average at best). Hopefully a fourth fight with Ernie Smith as well
