Tony Bellew has no chance what so ever in beating David Haye at heavyweight! He had no chance at cruiserweight let alone moving up a weight.

At least the build up will be entertaining.

Yeah, over three months of shenanigans....
I'd like bellew to win as can't stamd Haye but unfortunately I can see him getting blasted out... Saying that, he will have probably talked me into reversing my view by fight time!

Great. 4 months of WWE antics from the pair of them.

Is there any way they can both lose?

Same weekend as danny Garcia vs Keith thurman which is a genuine top class fight worthy of the hype

Nice pay day for Bellew - he can then move back down to cruiserweight once he gets gubbed and defend his belt ... I am guessing he won't forfeit that by moving up a weight.

I am not really looking forward to him bad-mouthing Haye and generally talking nonsese for the next 4 months though - I hope somebody will have a word in his shell-like and tell him to tone it down a bit.

Haye must think it's Christmas!

Easy fight for him (as long as he actually shows up): low risk, big reward, which just suits Haye at the moment.

Bellow is going to be even more insufferable than he normally is over the next 4 months.

It would make a change haye getting bad mouthed. He does enough of that when he fights.

The only thing that will surprise me with the Bellow v Haye fight is if it actually happened...so who is going to get injured first.

That'll be haye. Recurrence of the injured little toe. 😀

Anyone see the Katie Taylor fight, I thought she did very well for her debut as a professional.

Hopefully this will just be her first step towards more fights, and who knows a belt in the future.

I watched her fight and thought she looked very good, and it didn't look like her first professional fight either, which is a good sign.
It was also nice to see the fight at the top end of the card, as to me it felt like Sky/Matchroom wanted people to accept women's boxing on the same card as male ala UFC.

Lomanchenko is just poetic to watch. An amazing athlete.

Just a few musings from me:

I don't think either Haye or Bellew will pull out. Too big a payday for both.

I hope both turn to proper fights after; Haye fighting Parker or Ruiz for WBO and Bellew getting big fights like Usyk or Lebedev.

Good win for Flanagan. I want BT to bring over Crolla and have that fight now.

Good on Katie Taylor. Hopefully she and Adams can grow the pro womans game in this country.

Skeete and Langford probably ready for world shots in 2017. Ohara Davies still doesn't look great for me. Anthony Yarde looks exciting but needs to step up the opponents now.

Awful year for Saunders. He needs Golovkin in 2017.

Not too keen on the Joshua bill. Shouldn't be a PPV.

Agreed.

It's like Willie Pep has come back in his body.

He is sublime.

I don't think that has anything to do with boxing equality - simply the fact that KT is pretty marketable and could be a nice little earner for Matchroom/Sky so that tends to push you up the bill ... money talks.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned that a young boxer Jakub Moczyk, Norwich has died after his first , it has not been a good year for British boxers . my condolences go to his family , rip young man

Okayyyyyyyy.... late to the party as usual, but I've finally caught up with Ward v Kovalev. And I have to say, as close as it was, I think Kovalev shaded it. Ward came on strong later but not strong enough for me and he lost the 10th clearly. I think Ward wins the re-match all day long though.

Poetic....? I don't quite get the hype. He's more Tinie Tempah than Shakespeare for me right now, though I admire his tenacity and skill at cutting off the ring. Having said that, I will definitely give his next fight my full attention....

I think he's phenomenonal, the best p4p out there IMO, only GGG and rigondeux come close. An amateur record of 396-1 (the best ever) and two weight world champion by his 7th pro fight, he's a masterful boxer and future hall of famer.

Loved Haye tearing Hearn to bits - was long overdue.

Am I the only one who remembers Bellew getting knocked down by a powder puff shot from Makabu? When Haye hits him, that'll be that.

Well that is some record but I'm surprised you don't rate Gonzalez p4p? Anyway, like Nova, I will watch the full fight and get back to you...

Give the man some credit. It was hardly powder puff, caught him full in the face I thought Bellow did well to recover, actually. But you're right. Haye catches him and he's sparko.

Might be in the minority but I'm hoping it's bellew who knocks that clown right out. Hopefully he won't be able to blame something like his little toe this time.
