Haye pulling out at this stage seems a bit strange, he pulled out of his last fight with charr so it doesn't look good. I am not saying the cut doesn't look legit but what does it take to get this guy in the ring, he can't seem to make it through a training camp? Why spar with no head gear this close to a fight. It's all a bit weird, that coupled with booth now not training groves. I saw an interview the other day where booth was saying what a dream job it was to train these guys for both these mega fights. It's all basically turned to shite lol.

Personally I am majorly gutted this fight is not happening, it's unlikely it will ever happen now. It would be pretty easy to give up on haye right now, the shine of that impressive ok over chisora is wearing off.....

David Haye retired remember? All of this, Charr, Fury, he is trying to remain known to the public whilst doing nothing. He is probably cursing the scheduling because he could have been in Celebrity Big Brother instead of wasting everyone's time with this charade.

Completely agree with you.

David Haye is becoming a bit of a 'celebrity' boxer & his career is not going to be fondly remembered if he carries on like this.

Although I believe the fight would probably have been a mismatch, I was still looking forward to seeing how Fury fared against Haye, but alas, it will probably never happen now.

I'm so glad that the ridiculous price of the tickets put me off buying any & going to see it live.

Apparently someone had taken pictures of him 'partying' in Vegas, so subsequently checked himself into rehab.

Kahn v Flloyd looks like it is on the cards on May 3rd 2014 in Las Vegas!

I cannot see Kahn winning that one at all.

Khan has two chances against Mayweather Jr: zero & none and that's being kind to him.

Saying that, Khan's style might actually be a bit of a mini test for Floyd, as Khan has extremely fast hands & throws lots of combinations.

It will give Mayweather Jr something to think about, but eventually, Floyd will work him out & boss the fight.

Hasn't he got to fight Devon Alexander first? I don't think he stands a chance with that match so I can't see him even getting to Mayweather

Very true.

He was scheduled to fight Alexander in December, but if the Mayweather story is confirmed, he'll just pull out of the Alexander fight & take on Mayweather Jr for more money.

I can't see him winning either fight TBH.

If Khan had a better chin he could Mayweather some problem and it could be a very interesting match up. As it is, we know he doesn't, so even though Floyd isn't a puncher, i'd still expect him to KO Khan.

However, when fighters reach a certain age they can age almost overnight.
Roy jones went from winning a Heavweight title and looking as brilliant as ever, to looking like a totally shot fighter in his next fight against the decent, but far from great Tarver. Though Jones got the decision, anyone who saw that fight would know he hardly won a round and was almsot floored by a simple jab towards the end.
If Floyd carries on fighting, sooner or later a fighter who wouldn't have been fit to lace his boots will get lucky and be in there with a washed up fighter.
You never know, that fighter could be Khan.

Mayweather Vs Khan is easy money for both.

Will do big numbers in Amercia on PPV as its Mayweather, will do big numbers on UK PPV as its a Brit up against the best in the world and possibly ever.

Mayweather will win easily though. Khan isnt a big puncher, he punches in bunches. Mayweather with block and dodge and catch Khan with big rights every time. Khan leaves his chin far to exposed when coming forward and will pay big if he fights Mayweather.

In my opinion, it lasts around 5 rounds with Mayweather winning by TKO.

Looks like the Alexander fight is still on. Alexander is excellent and destroyed Maidana the last time I watched him. He's fast and with a lot of skill and I can't see Khan beating him. I think Alexander will be a bigger test for Mayweather although neither would beat him. I just think Alexander/Mayweather would go to the cards while Khan is easy pickings for Floyd to knock him out

I'm shocked that 'Money' Mayweather would schedule a fight with Khan before he has even fought a dangerous opponent like Alexander.

I'm even more shocked that Khan would risk a mega money bout with boxing's golden goose by going in against one of the best welterweights in the world beforehand.

If Khan gets wiped out by Alexander, where does that leave a potential fight with Mayweather?

Mayweather should be lining up the winner once they have fought; that would make far more sense.

If contracts have been signed and whatnot then Khan will get sued if he pulls out of the fight purely because he's had a better offer. He'll probably get an "injury" when "training" for the fight, also known as Doing a David Haye.

The money he will make for any Mayweather fight will be far superior to any fine for pulling out.

Or he could just say he's got an injury and avoid any ramifications at all.

With the speculation of the Mayweather fight I don't think that would work.

I don't see why not, it happens all the time. For example everyone knew the reason Haye pulled out of the Charr fight was because he'd signed to fight Fury, but officially it was because of a hand injury. Injuries are hard to disprove and leave people in the clear from angry tv networks and jilted opponents.

Dunno whether to book the Vegas flights and hotels just now. Can get a week there round the fight for £800. As soon as the fight is announced officially the prices will rocket but this is really not the right time for me to be doing this.......

Decisions.....

Do it. Even if it isn't Khan Mayweather will be fighting, possibly a better fight than vs Khan too.

As for the Alexander fight, honestly don't think Khan has fancied it from day one. Thought he only tried to get it to get one over on Brook.

Your right about the injuries though, happen all the time and very hard to disprove, just don't think Khan would blame an injury and would just cancel the fight as soon as the Mayweather one was confirmed.

Could be wrong of course, has been known in the past 😊

Mayweather/Khan will be a total tactical mismatch! The fact that Khan never stops going on about his speed just say's it all about him!

Only having good speed dosnt win fights, you need power, a strong chin and working active brain to get around your opponent especially when you are stepping into the ring with a complete master! Khan posses non of those qualities and will just get picked apart by Floyd round by round! I dont see Khan winning a single round in this fight!

But if the impossible happens and Khan pull's off the biggest shock since Buster Douglas, then life as we know it will become unbearable with his ego being exploded big time through the roof!

Stephen Swifty Smith has left W Promotions. About time too. Had loads of cancels fights in the past 2 years.

Would just like to say while on the Smiths, what a fantastic achievement from them claiming 3 British titles between them.

All 4 are very talented and could all fight for a world title although Paul is running out of time through bad management.

All good lads aswell.

Oh god it's Povetkin vs Klitschko this weekend, I wonder what the Ruskies will do this time to fix the fight.....

Wladimir should beat him easily but it'll be interesting to see how the notorious control freaks handle not having everything their own way. Apparently Povetkin's team is turning the Klitschko's usual trick against them and getting Chisora to oversee Wlad wrapping his hands, which is hilarious tbf. Three cheers for Povetkin's shady Russian mafia backers.

I don't know why so many think the Douglas win over Tyson was such a massive shock.
Douglas was a talented boxer who was in the best shape of his life.
Tyson was already in decline, with his onetime fantastic upper body and head movement all but gone. His jab was also becoming sparcely used.

By the time of the Douglas fight he was standing square on, very easy to hit, and just walking in in straight lines throwing increasingly crude, slugging punches. Everything he'd been taught under Cus and Kevin Rooney was going out of the window.

Significantly, Tyson was decked in training by a washed up Greg Page, and he was out drinking in Japan leading up to the fight.
Before he even became a champ 'Team Tyson' always knew he'd go off the rails, it was just a question of when.
