wlad illegal holding

not sure why points are never taken off
One of the things I've never understood about boxing. People always talk about not being able to get inside against Wlad... that's because the moment you do he grabs hold and/or pushes down on you! It needs eradicating.

Not much of a big puncher, he'll need a combo to hurt Wlads chin

Haye hit Wlad with a beautiful right in round 11 and Wlads legs stiffened, but he was unable to follow up with another punch

You cant pot shot Wlad, getting combos off on Wlad when ur a shorter guy is very difficult
All heavies are big punchers, but if you can't catch someone clean it doesn't matter how hard you can hit.

Why no one targets the body of Klitschko I will never know.

Dominating in his normal style.

Klitschko is wide open for a right hook to the body. Left hand up, right hook to the body.

Klitschko is so bad for HW boxing. Punch, punch lean. Punch arms up jump back.

Every single fight.

Would love to see Fury up against him.

Does Klitschko know this isn't MMA? He isn't allowed to grab the arm and throw punches while leaning all over the opponent.

How the ref didn't step in then I don't know.

Elbows aswell. Hope Povetkin catches him with one now.

Imagine what Mike Tyson or Joe Frazier would have done to him?

Why isn't there that calibre of heavyweight around today?

Fury LOL! Good one.
Not on skill but because Fury wouldn't allow him to lean all over him or be pushed back.

Would be good while it lasted anyway.

He wouldn't last 5 rounds with them in their prime.

Or Holyfield for that matter.

Finally the ref deducts a point. It's pathetic when Wlad is stood there in front of the ref with his arms apart waiting for Povetkin to come in so he can hold him!

If the ref took a point off for every time wlad leaned or grabbed or elbowed he'd need a new game plan

And it's all over... Wlad clearly outboxed Povetkin but he's got away with a ridiculous amount there. Embarrassing referee.

That was hellish. Absolutely shocking.

Tyson would have taken both these guys out in his first 10 pro fights.

It's Anthony Joshua's pro debut tonight. Let's hope he turns out to be a good fighter.

Wlad always fights like that. Nothing new so why are we shocked?

Thought the ref was terrible. Klitschko could have been disqualified and with good reason. Holding, elbows, leaning and throwing.

Neither Klitschko will go down as a all time great, but they are the best of a awful bunch of HW's.

They should be forced to fight each other or have the titles taken away, not that they mean much.

Wonder if Wilder will get a crack at tem, or even Chisora against Wlad.

Doubt either will happen.

I hope so too.

I just want a decent & charismatic HW fighter to rise to the top & remove the Klitschkos, because they bore me to tears now.

I like Deontay Wilder; he's charismatic & exciting, plus he punches like a jackhammer, but I don't know how good he really is.

He keeps fighting bums & after almost 30 fights, I would have expected him to be in a position to challenge one of the Klitschkos.

I think Vitali would be suitable than Wladimir.

Vitali is tougher than Wladimir, but he is now as slow as arthritic snail & he might be well into decline, whereas Wladimir doesn't appear to be slowing down, even though he is 38 & plus he will just hold, potshot & jab his way to a boring win.

Agree. Although I always had a lot of time for Vitali. Not so much for Wlad. Vitali's 42 now and heavily into politics so I'm surprised he's not retired, unless he's waiting to try his chances against Haye.
