Incidentally, as strange as it sounds with him coming off the best win of his career, I've got a suspicion that Marquez has lost a step. It's easy to forget with what came afterwards, but Pacquiao was as close to stopping him as I've ever seen anyone, and indeed it was because he was so aggressive going forward to take him out that he got sparked.

I agree, plus marquez was borderline obsessed with pac for years and knew his style as well as he knew his own. Bradley is gonna present a whole load of problems and 12 rounds may not be lomg enough for marquez to suss them all out.

Split decision again highlighting how horrendous the judging and scoring in boxing really is. 115-113 for Marquez? Madness.

Really enjoyed watching Bradley. I'd like to see him fight Mayweather and he's more deserving of a chance than Khan/Alexander but it's a massive shame the Top Rank/Golden Boy HBO/Showtime squabbling is depriving the fans of some great fights

The sky commentary teams nut hugging of bradley was sickening. They sang and danced about every half arsed jab that bradley landed and brushed aside anything marquez landed.(im not saying bradley didnt land good punches) I think bradley won but the fight was closer than the commentators would have u believe. Bradley did alot of shoeshining. Marquez annoyed me aswell, if i knew that bradley was gonna gonna box on the back foot and force marquez to come forward, surely nacho beristein and marquez knew that.
You'd think that he would have worked on cutting off the ring and applying pressure, things he has struggled with in the past against pure boxers, he looked like he was hoping to apply the same tactics that he uses in every pac fight, they seriously underestimated bradley if they thought he was gonna be jumping into overhand rights.

That said, bradleys speed of foot and hand impressed me and pacs win/loss over him looks even better now.

I don't think there is a single person who didn't think Pac won the Bradley fight, he did, comfortably.

That is the problem with boxing, you're at the whim of god knows who when it comes to the results you get.

I was nervous when the scoring was announced for Bradley -v- Marquez as I thought Marquez was going to be given an unjust decision.

Bradley clearly won that fight, even if it was a little closer than the commentators were making it.

PS: I wonder why Bradley was so unpopular? He got jeered at the weigh-in & the crowd was chanting for Marquez throughout, so much so, that I thought the fight was in Mexico & not in Bradley's home country.

I think alot of it comes from the pacquaio fight, he'd have done himself a huge favour if a couple of weeks after the fight he'd come out and said that he felt the wromg man got the decision. Instead he went on 24/7 and said he thinks he won 8 rounds to four.

In a USA vs Mexico fight, the American fans will always be heavily outnumbered, the Mexicans are just crazy for boxing, even with FMJ vs Canelo Canelo was the fans favourite.

Also i felt it was a little desrespectful the way he was taunting a 40 year old legend of the sport in the ring, it was uncalled for, probally wont make him any more popular.

Had Bradley winning 9 rounds. Easy win for him in the end.

Bradley vs Mayweather would be a great fight, much better than Khan gettin ko'd.

As would Bradley vs Broner.

It's boxing. Happens in most fights where one guy is saying to the other you can't hurt or hit me.

Don't think he will be too bothered about his popularity, he is the best of the rest after Mayweather.

Agree with that. They need to do what's best for the sport.

1 governing body, with them selling the rights to fights.

Promoters and tv companies have far too much influence on the sport.

Khan V Alexander is now officially off. I think Khan probably called it off so he can stay in with a shout of fighting Mayweather because a loss to Alexander (which would probably happen) would end all his chances of getting his Mayweather meal ticket. I would love to see Mayweather come over here and fill Wembley Stadium but it will probably happen in his back yard

Malignagi sort of confirmed it last week on ringside. Him vs Juda is now headline fight for the 7 December show. And Alexander has agreed to fight someone else the week before.

Think Khan will have a tune up fight in Nov / December then go for the Mayweather fight in May.

Which is a shame as I don't want to see that fight.

Would prefer Mayweather against Bradley, Garcia, Broner, Martinez or even Pacquiao.

The likes of Garcia, Bradley and Alexander are far more worthy of a Mayweather meal ticket than Khan but Mayweather promotions know they will get big bucks for the Khan fight as he can talk the talk and it will generate a ton of money from the UK as well as the US

It's a real shame that Broner is auditioning for a part as Floyd Mayweathers Jr's mini-me because a fight between those two would be epic.

Some of Mayweathers comments about Broner seem to suggest a fight will happen. Get the feeling he doesn't like someone imitating him.

Broner has to get past Maidana first. I can't wait for Maidana to rip his shots to Broner's ribs, it's going to be beautiful.

Broner will school Maidana IMO. Maidana has a punchers chance but Broner will be too quick for him.

You know it makes sense. Mayweather will be fighting in May, whoever he fights against it would be a great experience.

Hope you enjoy it.

Conventional wisdom, but I like what I saw in Lopez vs Maidana, I think he might surprise a few people. He won't turn into Whittaker, but I don't think he is as crude as what he was vs Khan or Morales anymore either.

Stevenson vs Bellew is next month at the 30th with Kovalev vs Sillakh on the undercard. It should be an event that won't take too long
