Murray vs GGG seems to be in play which will be a good fight. I like Murray, a very solid fighter.

Ringside was interesting last Thursday.
James Toney is slurring so badly that I'm surprised they didn't use subtitles. James is probably too tough for his own good. He's had 88 fights; been boxing for 25 years & he's been taking blows off heavyweights for a decade & he's never been stopped, but he's clearly 'suffering'. Although he's long past his best & weight, it'll be interesting to see how he copes with the Prizefighter format. James has always bee a fighter that needed rounds & despite his nickname, he isn't that hard a puncher, so I can't see him being able to cope with eh 3 round format, but we shall see. |

Prizefighter's about to get going.
James Toney is by far the most celebrated name ever to appear in the format, but he is 15 years & 4 stones past his best. He's managed to mix it with heavyweights for 10 years & that's truly remarkable, but I don't think this short format suits his fighting style. My money is on Sprott. |

Yeah have to admit I'm watching it to see Toney, even as you say he's over a decade past it the quality of the heavyweights in this so low I'd still fancy hiim to win it!
Sprott is probably about the only other one above journeyman level in it. |

Anthony Joshua looks a decent prospect, ok let's not get carried away he's just beating bums at the minute but he looks to have good hand speed and has a great physique.
See where he is in a couple of years but at the moment it's all going well for him. |

I don't want to be one of Those People who look for faults in everything, but Joshua looks very top heavy to me. I never trust a boxer with disproportionately skinny legs.

Sprott wins Prizefighter again.
I've been wanting Toney to retire for over 5 years & I hope he will consider it. TBH, I didn't fancy him to win it due to the format & his age etc, but even though he was the type of fighter that needed rounds, 10 years ago, he would have beaten all these guys without breaking sweat on ability alone. It's remarkable to think he's been fighting for so long & managed to mix it with heavyweights for a long time & has never been stopped. He just needs to go & do something else, because he's too tough for his own good. |

Thought Sprott would have lost if the American whos name has escaped me didnt hurt his elbow. Did anyone see the round table with the MIddleweights? Great entertainment and made me want to see a fight between them all even more. Personally feel that Martin Murray is the best of the lot. Also think he has the style to beat GGG. |

Turns out Murray won't be fighting GGG, they are just on the same card (which is nothing short of teasing the fans in my opinion :P), his visa issues with the US are really holding him back.

Holmes and Toney both prove that there is such thing as having too good a chin.

Don't think anyone is confirmed, his team said they wanted Murray but he rejected them.

Haye -v- Fury was the first high level HW fight that I had been excited about seeing since Klitschko -v- Haye.
OK, Haye would more than likely sparked Fury eventually, but it would have been intriguing while it lasted. At least Fury can now get on with his career & stop having to wait around for David Haye to decide whether he wants to be a celebrity boxer, an actor or reality TV star. |

Fury team want Wilder/Stiverne/Arreola. All good matchups, I would especially like to see Arreola come over here and fight Fury, that would be great.

Starting to feel sorry for Fury. He has wasted almost a year of his career trying to get the Haye fight only for Haye to pull out twice.
Don't think Haye ever wanted the fight, and would be very surprised if he signed up to fight Fury again. What would not surprise me is one last Vitali fight, against Haye. Summer in Germany. As for Fury, he needs to move on now. Think he beats Wilder, but not before going down. Tony Thompson would also be a good fight for him, would also give his ego a boost if he could take out the man who took out Price. Plenty of options for Fury though. |

IMHO, Fury is nowhere near ready for Wladimir & he's not even at Arreola level yet, but Wilder would be a good 'name' opponent, In fact, it would be a good fight for Wilder too, as he needs to fight someone who isn't on life support & Tyson, for all his limitations is a very game guy who would more than likely test Wilder. |

Maybe not being ready for a Klitschko works in Furys favour. He would fight his fight rather than be bullied, leaned on and pushed around. My only work is Furys suspect chin. No doubt he has power but his chin could be his weakness at the World Title Level. |
