Tremendous performance by Groves, feel gutted for him at that ludicrous stoppage.
But he now knows he has Frochs number, and more importantly Froch now knows it too.
Rematch will be a comprehensive victory for groves, Froch looked his age tonight.
Groves was amazing”
Froch looked like a washed up fighter at the end of his career tonight. His timing was way off, his balance was terrible and he was incredibly slow. Groves was basically landing at will.
Personally, I think Groves beat himself and, as good as he was, he was a little immature. There was too much macho bullshit and he concentrated too much on trying to prove something by being the first to knock Froch out. After the 7th round he should have just got on his bike and flicked out the jab and got through the 12 rounds, but he wanted to get involved and it cost him.
Having said that, the scorecards were ridiculous, so there's every chance he would have been robbed anyway. It seems there was no way Groves was going to win that fight and it had nothing to do with boxing.
