Kovalev is a fully fledged light heavy and Golovkin is natural middleweight who could probably make light middle if he wanted, I don't think we'd ever see that happen.

It's not that much of a jump for GGG. Let him clean up at middle, couple of years at SM, then who knows.
Agree it's a long way off right now, but I can dream 😄 |

Gutted for Bomber. Just couldn't live with the power and accuracy of Stevenson.
No harm in that though, plenty of people will struggle against that type of power. Stevenson won every round IMO and showed that he is a class act. Would love to see Stevenson against Kovlak. Looks like a genuine possibility too. As for Bomber, he can come again. He is a good fighter with a great heart and I am sure that one day he can be a world champion. He showed that he was more than just KO artist & that he can box well & pace himself. Stevenson is another fighter who is well past 30 & still on top. Not too long ago, once you hit 35, it was pretty much over for you as a world class operator, but nowadays, a lot of the best champions are beyond 35. Carl Froch, Adonis Stevenson, Bernard Hopkins, Floyd Mayeather Jr & the Klitschkos (Wladimir is still top of his game, even though Vitali has rigor mortis setting in). PS: Kovalev -v- Stevenson is a must. Saying that, it would probably turn out to be a cagey 12 rounder as both fighters won't want to be hit by the other.

Amen to that. It's obvious we will never see Pac V Pretty Boy so this is probably the next best match-up out there. I think Hopkins wants to get in the mix too though...

What did you guys think of the stoppage by the referee in the chisora fight? Premature or spot on?
Several places are saying it was controversial but to me he was slouched over a ring post relying on a referee to break the fight so correct stoppage! |

I'm not sure about internet links, but if you have access to SKY, then it's on Sky Sports 2 this Friday at 8pm, then again on Saturday at 9pm I believe.

GGG confirmed to be fighting a guy called Adama, whose most noticeable opponent is Geale who was beaten by Barker earlier this year.
Don't think Murray's opponent has been confirmed yet, or if he will be fighting on the card. |

Fancy Barker here. Late stoppage or points.
Sturm isn't the fighter he used to be. |

After the 2nd knockdown I think it was, he looked at the corner and pointed to his side. That to me should have been a signal for the corner to throw in the towel right then and there given his problems with his hip in the past.
BBC say he dislocated his hip in the first round. Would certainly explain the bizarre tactics that were used in the 2nd. |

That was 6 rounds of relentless power punching from Kirkland. Unbelievable stamina. I was waiting for him to gas, I think Tapia was too!

Performance of the year, Fighter of the Year: Marcos "I'm Your Daddy" Maidana.
****, first prediction I ever got right. Knew I should have put money on it. He took Broner's soul. Outboxed, outfought, outwilled. He even outBroner'd Broner. I love it. Maidana is a true force at 147. |

I thought Maidana would be tough, but I actually believed the Broner hype & I thought he'd win. ![]() Broner probably needs to drop back down to 135, or maybe 140 & leave 147 alone for the time being; it's too dangerous there!!! |

I thought Broner would win aswell. Made up he didn't though. Such a horrible person. Lost count of the elbow pushes and late shots.
Credit to Maidana though, can take a shot and can bang with the best of them. Would love to see him fight Mayweather. |

knew broner would find it tough. He isnt that good and is pure hype!
He wont learn from this though. The guy really believes he is the next floyd. Maidana deserves a fight with floyd above Khan thats for sure. Also its an easier sell for showtime also. |
