^ Guys, let's get it straight. I said I thought it was more of a contest, in that both guys were going toe-to-toe for longer, instead of the cagey, pitter-patter of Froch V Groves 2. I don't think either fight was exciting but Froch and Groves was a bigger occassion both were bigger names and better fighters and could (maybe) fill an arena if they fought again. But as for a rematch between Cleverely and Bellew I think boxing fans would pay them not to fight again.

So Billy Joe Saunders vs Chris Eubank Jr this coming Saturday. I don't think I have looked forward to a domestic scrap so much since the first Froch vs Groves.

Quite a few experts have Saunders winning this (based mainly on his experience) but I cannot quite see that happening - Eubank Jr has started to look quite brutal in his recent fights this year (admittedly against lesser opponents) and he strikes me as the type of fighter who will be most dangerous if and when he gets tagged.

Saunders has the potential to enjoy his moment in the sun at world class level but Eubank Jr could quite possibly be the man ...

6/5 is hell of a tempting.

want jr to win. don't like guys who say 'they'll retire if they lose'. if he does lose and doesn't retire he'll look a complete mug.

Assuming Eubank Jr doesn't have stamina issues, he should win this comfortably.

Great fight though. It's good to see a couple of prospects meeting at this stage of their careers. It very rarely happens in modern boxing.

Agreed, I'm off to the fight and very excited about this fight, a lot more than I am for the 'main event'.

Having a bet on Eubank to knock him out before the 6th.

Re Fury v Chisora, not sure which way it'll go or who to support.

On paper it's a no contest - Saunders has got some very good, underrated wins on his record and Eubank Jr has been fighting at a much lower level. There's a tiny inkling that Eubank Jr might actually be the real deal, but I'm going to stick with the knowns rather than the unknowns, and with that in mind 5/6 for Saunders is an unbelievable price.

No idea who will win either of the big fights on Saturday (though I'm leaning towards a Fury/Billy Jo double) but this is the first time I've seen Eubank Jnr talk for himself and he didn't do a bad job.

Eubank definitely won the war of words. Chip off the old block As said above BJS came out with major BS about retiring if he doesn't win. Almost deserves to lose on that statement alone.

Really looking forward to tonights domestic tear up.

I too cant pick and think both contests will be extremely hard fought, probably going one way and then the other.

Eubank snr has been singing his sons praises, going as far as saying Eubank jr is better than even he was. Interesting indeed.

Should be a great night though.

He also says his son would beat Golovkin. It's all part of the game, but I wouldn't put too much stock into what Sr says

It would be ironic if the roles were reversed this time.

The first time out, Chisora turned up weighing the same as a Brachiosaurus & Fury was in relatively good shape (by his average standards); now Chisora has taken his local takeaway off speed dial & finally got into some kind of shape & Fury might be the new Nutty Professor as he was weighed in very heavy this time.

Saunders - Eubank Jr probably not until half 10 at the earliest if Gavin v Skeete goes the distance as expected and the Mitchell Smith fight isn't a complete blowout. Fury v Chisora nearer midnight at this rate.

The odds have now flipped on the Eubank vs Saunders fight - Eubank is now strong odds on fav for the win and 6/5 for a Saunders victory.

On review this seems to be highly optimistic

Walsh fight and Buglioni fight were good, could've done without the Mitchell Smith and Frankie Gavin fights. Not that I'm particuarly bothered, any boxing is better than none.
