i am done with khan if he goes and fights a 44 year old mosely, absolute joke if that happens, its time for him to fight serious opponents now. as for tonights fight, even if berto puts on the performance of his career and causes mayweather a world of trouble the corrupt judges will rob him, why would anyone bother to watch this fight let alone pay for it? i am getting a bit fed up of boxing at this point, the welterweight division is stacked with talent but we are not getting the fights, everyone cares more about there record then giving the fans great fights...

Fortunate win for John Wayne Hibbart after Dave Ryan sustains a back injury in the 10th when it looked like he was miles ahead

Hope Anthony Joshua wins convincingly

putting him in with these guys surely isn't good for his career? he's hardly being tested/getting any rounds under his belt here

Aye is pointless. Wow so this Scottish guy had never been beaten but he had been fighting bums himself.

People say, well he KO Kevin Johnson. Johnson had lost 6 of his last 7 fights. I do like Johshua but he needs to fight better fighters. The heavyweight division is shit though, so what to do.

Complete waste of time, this guy was unbeaten in 21 fights, who the hell has he been fighting?? Joshua needs to be put in with some decent opposition. I love the way sky are trying to build up the Joshua vs Whyte fight in December, that is a mismatch in my opinion and a fight Joshua wins easily. No doubt it will be on PPV though, which is the reason for all this stupid build up.

i don't see how tonight's match would've benefited josh at all. if anything it would've given him some fake confidence. bullshit match

Oh no!

If this is true, it's truly pathetic.

Team Khan should be embarrassed for even contemplating facing a washed up 45 year old.

If that is the extent of Khan's ambition, he might as well go & do something else with his life.

Cornish is a huge unbeaten Scottish heavyweight who iv'e touted for big things but i just feel this fight is too soon and that Joshua will have too much for him.

Should be third time lucky for Groves.

Not even gonna comment on the Mayweather fight.”

Not your best prediction night ever

forgot about the groves fight. surely the end for him at top level?

Should of been a decent weekend, but I felt kind of meh about it afterwards.

Groves hasn't looked as good as when he was with Booth, Mayweather was Mayweather, The Joshua hype continues despite the fact he's yet to fight a full time pro and Minto couldn't even put up much of a show.

Thanks for reminding me.

Although in fairness i did say that AJ would be too strong, just didn't expect Cornish to fold.

I disagree - it was the most brutal heavyweight war since the Thrilla in Manilla.

Or perhaps not!

Yeah the Thrilla in Manila and the Rumble in the Jungle kinda puts into perspective the state of the Heavyweight scene just now.

Decent matchmaking for Smith tonight from Hearn, he looked a weight division above the guy he was fighting.

He needs to get back with Adam Booth.

I think he still has a lifeline in that his old nemesis has a trinket right now & I'm sure Degale would jump at the chance of fighting Groves again to get his revenge.

Groves is in the very curious position of being too good for domestic level & probably European level, but not quite good enough for world level.

I believe that is he want to advance, he needs to get back with Booth.

As for fighting Degale again, I'm not so sure he could beat James now: their first fight was close & could have gone either way & Degale has improved, whereas Groves looks like he is stuck in rut.

That is spot on and I also agree about Degale - I think he could comfortably beat Groves now.

Just as a matter of interest I have not seen Kovalev yet (I will have to check him out on Youtube) - but by all accounts he is a bloody good fighter.

What do other people think of him?

Kovalev is scary.

He's 175lb version of Gennady Golovkin; power to burn, but not just an out & out slugger that tries to tear his opponents head off, he is quite happy to box & walk his opponents down.

I'd love to see him in a unification with Stevenson, although I'd tip Kovalev to win.

Your description pretty much matches what I have heard of him.

When the Iron Curtain came down my Grandad (RIP) said just watch the Eastern Block nations gradually take over professional boxing.

He was right.

Very easily. I actually want him to beat Vlad or at least do well enough to earn a re-match. But his stunts are embarassing. First he tries to unsettle Klitscho by saying he's going to perform oral sex on him and next he tries to unnerve him by turning up in fancy dress. Dear lord.

If Tyson = Batman
Vladmir = Bane

It might be embarrassing (although entertaining) but Tyson Fury isnt playing along to old boring setup that has killed the heavyweight scene for over a decade. Its actually refreshing and the best thing that can happen is Tyson finally finishing off one of the worst eras of heavyweight boxing.
