Why is Froch suddenly interested in fighting DeGale now after avoiding him all this time?

Firstly I would exactly say Froch has avoided him. Deale become a world champion after Froch retired.

Now as for the comeback talk I think its two things.

Like Haye, Froch wants the media talking about him. Secondly a fight v Degale is a good payday for a fight he thinks he wins.

Personally I would be disappointed. If Froch is to come back I want him to fight GGG. Coming back and beating Degale for instance proves what? His expected to beat Degale.

Yeah I would think he could still beat DeGale although it would take a monumental effort with so many brutal wars behind him.

As for GGG - World War III while it lasted - depending how much Carl has left would dictate if he made it past the mid rounds with his granite chin and indomitable will.

I think Gennady would win via late stoppage though.

Froch would do DeGale within 5 rounds i reckon. Degale is a showboater currently ranked above his station.

I think froch would win but degale has speed and movement. His style causes problems for froch.

Never rated Degale, but he is much improved over his last half a dozen or so fights.

I really like Fury as a boxer, he brings excitement and madness to the ring.

I'd say he has a boxers chance.

He certainly has the height and natural weight to cause Klitschko plenty of problems.

He also has that youthful folly and inner belief in himself and his abilities.

Whether that in itself is enough only time will tell.

One thing is for sure, it wont be a boring fight.

Fury's always talking about how he is the most charismatic boxer since Ali but the only similarity he had during the build-up was overhyping himself to the point of hysteria like Ali did before he fought Liston. Hopefully same outcome in the ring. Nothing against Vladmir but he's had long enough. Will be betting on Tyson though I don't really expect him to win....

Do you think fury is underestimating Vlad? Whether people like him or not, he's been at the top for a long time and fury hasn't fought anyone even close to this level plus his chin is very suspect which I suppose is also reason why people like watching him, you don't know what will happen.

I don't think Fury is underestimating Vlad at all. He's not that stupid despite the costume changes. What he says to the microphone and how he's actually behaving behind the scenes are two very different things. I think he is scared (in a good way) and that is motivating him to train harder and prepare better than he ever has. I just wonder if that will be enough to halt Vlad. Fury's not the most naturally talented boxer ever and it's one thing having your uncle in your corner to call strategy on Derek Chisora but I think you'd need an uncle like Roger Mayweather to call the shots against someone of Vlad's calibre.

I want Fury to win. Vlad looked to be slowing slightly against Jennings who was quite mobile and Fury can stick and move. But I think Vlad will still have way too much for him.

I think GGG will come down. Canelo holds all the cards. His the far bigger draw and Golovkin makes nowhere near the money he would make fighting Canelo against anyone else. Remember GGG is past 30 now so while he can still make decent money vs other fighters his running out of time for the big payoff.

It sux as the MW title should be fought at 160lbs but I just don’t see what choice GGG has if he wants that huge payday.

Your points are valid and the money will probably make it happen, but the BIB is why I don't think he should try to cut weight (or increase it, for that matter) at this late stage after having been a natural middy for so long. He clearly has excelllent trainers who will do all they can to get him fit at that weight but at least some of his power is bound to be drained away. If he can cut and beat Canelo though, there can be no doubt about his greatness.

Haye, obviously couldn't make a career on the minor celeb merry go round and other business interests werent appearing or working out... Heard him today promoting his fight, he does it well, I'll give him that! But as someone else said earlier, there is no other sport where athletes past their peak and on the way down can come back and make back to the top like boxing...
As for Fury fight, i don't think I will be able to watch it, and I am undecided on whether I like him or dislike him, but I think he will be out of his depth against the strength and experience of Klitschko...

I want to record the fury/klitschko fight but don't have landline. So ordering by remote is out. Can order online but can't record it although not sure if that applies to repeat viewings?
Heard what carl said about getting in close, surely thats playing right into klitschko's hands. Fury is quick on his feet for a big guy and has reach advantage so use it. His biggest problem is a glass jaw and if klitschko catches him it could be game over, should be interesting fight whatever happens.

I think with Klitchko speed is required. I'm not convinced Fury has quick enough hands and also his lead left hangs low. I see him being open for right hands.
