Fury's gonna get schooled by the old vet and it's been a long time coming IMO.

Anthony Joshua makes a good point in regard to how bad for the sport the Klitschko brothers have been - can you imagine the amount of bums who would have been heavyweight champion if it wasn't for these two??

I think Vlad will wear Fury out in the middle to late rounds and very likely we will see very little punches thrown after the first 4 or 5 rounds - it will simply turn into the usual jab fest.

Wladimir has fought the same way now for 10 years.
In that time many have claimed to know how to beat him, no one has succeeded yet.

I really don't know whether Fury can pull of the seemingly impossible.
As a boxer he just looks awkward and exposed.
His only attributes are his height, weight and age.

There is no doubt Fury will be the underdog. I'd love him to pull off the win, not long to find out.

I think the major difference will be that Fury just uses his jab as a means to get in position or simply to keep the opponent off - whilst Vlad uses his jab as a scoring punch that can actually break you down and win rounds ... beating Vlad to the punch is only half the story if your own punches are not good enough to put the opponent on the back foot or even register with the judges.

If Fury relies on his jab (which I believe he will) then his chances are greatly limited unless he dominates ...

It really should be Klitschko by KO and very early too. Whenever I've seen bits of Fury fighting, he seems to have powder puff punches and doesn't seem to fight anyone capable of giving him a hard fight so I think he will get KO early and easy and will look like a right idiot if he does.

Not really followed boxing that much since it went ppv but this fight does interest me

Not sure if Fury has a real chance or it's just the hype trying to sell ticket etc

Which would be the bigger shock -Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson or Tyson Fury beating Klitchsko ?

That's about it really, and the weight advantage has gone.
Fury has a chance, we know it can be foolish to write-off anyone when it comes to big heavyweights. But ignoring the hype, this looks a fairly straightforward win for Klitschko. Wlad has seen off better challengers, Fury will be stepping up in class, and it doesn't look as if age has caught up with Klitschko yet..which was probably Fury's only real chance.

Douglas. By a looooong way. Tyson was an unstoppable monster back then, in his prime and unbeaten. Although it was a long time ago, Vlad has been knocked out and is aging - even if it doesn't show that much in his performances.

Fury has a chance but it's his own unbeaten record and mouth (if he could put a boxing glove on it, he'd be truly dangerous) that make him a shorter price than Douglas ever was. Most of the assessments on this page about the relative merits of both boxers are accurate. I want Fury to win, don't think he will.

Yes, Doiglas beating Tyson was probably a bigger shock than Clay beating Liston. There was always a suspicion about Sonny Liston and his underworld connections. Nobody ever knew Liston's real age either, and he had abused his body with drugs and booze.

Older fight fans might remember another heavyweight division shock, Ingemar Johansson beating Floyd Patterson. A typical lucky punch shock.

This fight does seem to have revived the the heavyweight scene a bit, and not just because Fury happens to be British. Whatever the result, I hope it lives up to the expectations, it would be good for the sport.

If fury does win do you think he could dominate and if not who would beat him?

Deontay Wilder and our own Anthony Joshua are tipped for great things. But neither look ready yet, both being protected for big paydays. It's always difficult to judge real form and potential when a young fighter is just knocking over carefully selected journeymen.

A win for Fury would obviously be brilliant for british boxing but vlad is a machine so I would expect another successful defence. Maybe going to points but vlad for me

Mind games or a serious threat?

Tyson Fury is threatening to pull out of his world heavyweight title fight against Wladimir Klitschko because the canvas in the ring is too soft, according to his agent.

Guess Fury would want a fair playing field which is only natural.

Definitely think AJ is a future world champion and doesn't resort to trash talking. He let's his first do the talking. I do like fury, I just wish he'd shut up. I like the way the Klitschko's conduct themselves as well.

It's been changed now. It's a fair enough concern to be honest. https://twitter.com/asifvali/status/670592277950111744 that isn't normal or safe.

Obviously I doubt it's anything to do with the Klitschko brothers, they are fantastic ambassadors for boxing who always conduct themselves impeccably and in no way engage in dirty tricks on fight night.

Hope that Tyson Fury wins

I would assume that a rematch is written into the contract and that may be over here ( Wembley?)

DeGale isn't on the undercard, he's fighting in Canada at about 5am. There's eff all, which is one of the reasons the greedy gets aren't getting any (more) of my money.

same here. The asking price for essentially one fight is ridiculous and sky wonder why so many people resort to watching it online for free. The sub for sky sports is high enough as it is without making more and more things go under ppv.

Here's hoping it goes the distance, with Klitschko winning every round by some way.

Anyone know of any decent streams for the Fury Klitschko fight? I'm a bit out of the loop these days, which sites do people use now? Please PM me if we're not allowed to post them.
