Pulp reform
..although I don't think they ever officially split up, instead saying they'd go on hiatus, it's great to see that Pulp will be returning in 2011 for some festival slots.
So far it's been announced that they'll be playing Primavera Sound and Wireless, with more dates to be announced in future. Being a bit pedantic, but I've noticed quite a few of the reports have been referring to it as the "original line-up" when they probably had at least ten different line-ups in the 15 years or so the band existed before the mid-nineties Different Class-era line up that is getting back together, of Cocker/Banks/Doyle/Mackey/Senior/Webber. Anyway, their gigs were some of the most fun I've ever been to and they're still the best band I've seen at Glastonbury, really looking forward to seeing them again and having a bit of a sing-along to some old favourites. |

I never got a chance to catch them live, I hoped it's was the "Different Class" line-up.

It is that line up, I was watching their Sheffield gig the other night and willing them to get back together, I have been waiting for this for yonks, I saw them once back in 98 - they are my favourite group from that time, such a clever, brilliant band! YESSS!! Brightened up my rainy Monday morning!!

Great news, though I also love Jarvis as a solo artist. He's generally an all-round god IMO!

This is very exciting, I was a bit young for them at the time and I've only got into their music in the last few years so it's great to have the chance to see them live! They're amazing. The best Brit-pop band IMO!
I'm not sure whether to see them at a festival (which I'm guessing will have expensive tickets and it won't be so easy to get close to the stage?) or hope that some other UK dates will be announced soon. |

I hope they do non-festival gigs. I can't be bothered with a festival now
![]() Pulp are awesome. One of the best britpop bands to come from the 90s. |

I saw them at wembley arena a good few years back and they were superb. Hopefully they'll play smaller venues such as brixton.

Fantastic news! Wonder what the set list will be? Just the hits or some older stuff too?
To anyone who has never seen Pulp live and wonders if it is worth it just go. They always put a good show on. |

This is happy hapy news.
I hate festivals but I might drag myself along to one. We have Suede back, all we need now is for neutral milk hotel to reform and I can go and see all the amazing 90's indie bands that I was too young to see at the time. |

I'm glad to see it although i have been a huge fan of Jarvis' solo work moreso than of Pulp's. Plus they pretty much stopped playing Disco 2000 live in 1998 so that is unforgivable and me attending any of their concerts again will certainly require a lot of thinking.

Suede are more associated with Britpop.I wouldn't associate them with the Indie rock scene at the time at all. They were the major labels alternative to Grunge / Indie more than anything.Pulp sort of jumped on the Britpop bandwagon as well.
Not interested at all sorry :yawn:

Got my tickets this morning for Hyde Park in July 2011 (smiling from ear to ear!)
I've seen them twice a good few years back and they were brilliant. I am sooooo excited, I can't stop thinking about it! |
