X Factor Parallel Universe
How different would the overall show / eventual outcome be in this scenario?
Get 12 (or 16) decent singers/groups (same categories as now, nothing wrong with them as they are) without feeling the need to have any comedy acts. Let each act pick their own song to sing. Let the running order be drawn at random out of a hat. No manipulation of the public vote by the judges (each act has to be critiqued 100% honestly). No leaks to the press to make one contestant viewed more/less favourably. There is no sing-off. Least votes goes. At the end there would be one winner, voted for fair and square by the public. Is that REALLY any worse than what's going on at the moment? |
