Hi there, I have an Iphone 3g and I am having problems with the headset. I have replaced my headset a few times and still have the same problem.
I can hear audio through the headsets clearly, but I can't stop/play with the button on the mic and I can't pick up/hang or speak through the headset... Does anyone know what the problem is?

Try gently sticking a thin cotton bud (or something like it) in the headphone socket and give it a clean - also turn upside down and blow out any fluff. Seriously this has been known to help some people with this problem.
