It was James. But you're right, they didn't. James has spent many a series trying to rescue his image after that pairing.

Brendan has said many times, he expects his partners to give 100%, even if they're not very good, and if they don't, then he gets annoyed with them. When they do put in the effort then we see his 'good' side, like with Jo last year.

Claire and Brendan couldn't stand each other by the end. Their exit interview with Claudia was Other bad pairings included Gary and Karen and Dominic and Lilia.

Jill and Darren and Mark and Karen were two couples who really seemed to get on well with each other. Ian pretty much got on with all his partners (Denise, Zoe and Penny in particular showered him with praise).

In all honesty (setting off a real fireworks box here) I think we'd have heard by now if Ann and Anton didn't get on in any way!

I think Brendan just has an aggressive personality. He knew that Jo was hopeless, so he didn't have any expectations for her. That meant he could just allow himself to relax and enjoy the experience. The fact that he has fought with so many of his partners speaks volumes.

Anton has his hands tied, he blotted his copy book last year and has probably been warned. If he ever wants to work for Strictly again, he needs to go along with the Widdy stuff.

Out of everyone in this debacle, for some reason I think he's the one least to blame. However, unless he has a very strong core, he'll probably need some serious physio treatment soon.

To be honest it's probably quicker to list the partnerships that didn't get on as most partnerships do gel and I think a lot of friendships. If you spend that much time with someone you are probably either going to get on famously or never want to see each other ever again.

Brendan went through a series of partners he didn't get on with from Sarah through to Claire.

James and Georgina was a match made in hell which he's been trying to live down ever since and a lot of people think he's loathsome despite getting on fine with all the women he's danced with since.

Obviously there's Dom and Lilia, and I never got the impression that Anton and Laila actually got on that well. I don't think there was antimostity there but I think Flavia found Craig highly irritating too. I still think Gary Rhodes was a factor in Karen deciding not to return.

Mark and Karen seem to see a lot of each other after their win. I do wonder how hard it is for Alesha working for the guys who sidelined Matt too and keep her mouth shut about that.

I heard that Gethin and Camilla didn't get on, but I have no idea if that's true.

I dont think thats actually correct.....however I think he is now closer to Flavia after dancing with her on tour and other stuff they have done together......he does support her on Strictly.

I think they might fall in to the "more than just friends" category!

I actually think the only reason he got a slot this year was because he was specifically requested.

Really, where do you get that from. I've never heard anything to suggest that at all.

Without being overly specific, from people who I would think would be in a position to know. Which doesn't mean it's true, of course.
