Fish Pie Recipes
Hi peeps
![]() One of my favourite dishes is fish pie, but I've never actually attempted my own one before. Going to give it a go tonight. Does anyone have any tried and tested recipes which they can recommend? I have some cod and some prawns already, but can grab more fish if needed. Thanks! |

My favourite is Rick Stein's from one of his older books. You can find it here:
http://helenswoodenspoon.wordpress.c...1/18/fish-pie/ Don't worry too much about what fish, it works with anything. Do try to get a little smoked fish though as the combination of this and the onions and bay makes a wonderful white sauce. It's pretty forgiving and you can muck around with quantities quite a bit. |

![]() I often leave out the cream but it's nice with it too, and I never bother with parsley because I don't particularly like the stuff. Anyway it's a great recipe for adapting to your own taste. |

I like this one - do this if i haven't got the time/or can be bothered to make the sauce etc! |

I make my own fish pie to my Grandma's recipe.
She would put crisps and eggs in it as well as prawns and smoked haddock. It was like going on a treasure hunt. Then she would serve a salad with it also with eggs in. I think she loved eggs. |

a good idea is to use frozen fish - stays firmer in cooking
