Hi peeps
One of my favourite dishes is fish pie, but I've never actually attempted my own one before. Going to give it a go tonight. Does anyone have any tried and tested recipes which they can recommend?
I have some cod and some prawns already, but can grab more fish if needed.
Thanks!

My favourite is Rick Stein's from one of his older books. You can find it here:

Don't worry too much about what fish, it works with anything. Do try to get a little smoked fish though as the combination of this and the onions and bay makes a wonderful white sauce.

It's pretty forgiving and you can muck around with quantities quite a bit.

It is.

I often leave out the cream but it's nice with it too, and I never bother with parsley because I don't particularly like the stuff. Anyway it's a great recipe for adapting to your own taste.

I like this one - do this if i haven't got the time/or can be bothered to make the sauce etc!

I make my own fish pie to my Grandma's recipe.

She would put crisps and eggs in it as well as prawns and smoked haddock.

It was like going on a treasure hunt.

Then she would serve a salad with it also with eggs in.

I think she loved eggs.

a good idea is to use frozen fish - stays firmer in cooking
