Playing Albums on iPod/iPhone

I've imported some MP3s of Ministry of Sound CDs in iTunes.

How then do I get my iPhone or iTouch to play them in the correct order? None of the options I can find allows them to play as they were on the CD, only randomly or alphabetically,

As these are "mixed" its better to play them in the right order!

I think you might just need to have them ordered that way in iTunes, and then sync your iPod/iPhone again.

i'd have thought that they'd be in order by default though, especially if they're from original CDs.

I think I've solved it - I've created a new playlist for each CD in iTuned, then copied this over to my iPhone and it seems to work as required.

Seems odd though that if you chose the album option it doesn't move onto the next file, even though all the tracks have the corresponding album name and track number

Make sure each track on the album had the box 'part of a compilation' checked, otherwise with mix albums such as this it will treat each track by a different artist as a separate album.

you shouldn't need to create playlists.

if you want to be absolutely sure, right click on a track and select 'get info'.

then click on the info tab.

you should see in there two boxes for 'track number' and 'of'.

make sure those are filled in, eg 1 of 12; 2 of 12; 3 of 12 etc.

also - there should be an 'album' column in the track list columns - assuming all the track numbers are present and correct, just sort on the album column to get them in album order.
