Can anyone help me a number in the UK where I can call BT. Have not had Broadband for days. Have reported it and having a tracking number.

I have provided BT with a daytime number, a mobile phone number and the number of my landline at home together with a schedule of times when I am available at each numer. On four occasions they have called my landland at home during the day (when I have told them to call my daytime number) and all I keep getting is "we tried to call you to help resolve your problem and you did not answer". Every helpline I try only diverts me to India (whom I have spoken to on six occasions to be told they have reported my fault)! I just need to speak to someone with a half a brain at BT (if that's humanly possible),

Thanks guys.

Assuming that you are BT Broadband customer? (This is the Landline Telephone Forum.)

Write a letter of complaint to Sir Michael Rake. Chairman British Telecommunications plc, 81 Newgate Street, London EC1A 7AJ. Post it First Class and someone WILL get back to you in short order and they WILL get your problem fixed.

Thank you David. I am able to get to my account here at work and the fault tracker is saying (after 10 days) that they THINK they have fixed the fault. Obviously I won't know if that is the case until I get back home this evening. But I am not confident, I have had all this before. The fault tracker is telling me that if my fault is not fixed I am to call 0800 111 4567. Trust me I have had many conversations with people on that number who tell me they have reported my fault. Round and round we go.

If my service is not restored when I get home I will get back to you tomorrow. Obviously with no internet connection I can't get on line to you this evening. But thanks for your e-mail. With every good intention I hope I do not have to renew this correspondence with you again.

Regards.

David do you work for BT? My problem has not been resolved after 12 days and I cannot see what you can do otherwise. Don't wish to appear ungrateful but I'm not really keen to pass personal details on when I don't really know who you are?

Thanks.

btcare@bt.com is the genuine address for BT personnel who monitor and help out on forums.

There is no danger in providing the details requested to that email address.

You never know, 12 days might not turn into 12 weeks!

OK thanks Heinz. Somebody who actually wanted to help seemed to good to be true. Boy have I been given the runaround! However just arrived in from work and you'll never guess, I've got Broadband back! Again many thanks.
