Joe did the exact same last year and he was the winner.

Matt wants us to ask him a question that no one has asked him before.

Any ideas?

Edit - LOL, an avalanche of questions on twitter he'll never read them all.

Matt singing up tempo? Listen to his band, or better yet the first week of the live shows!

QM mention the DS thread!

Hi hunbug welcome to the pleasure dome - I think you are one of a long line who want to do that humbug.

Here's MY question Maeve
I have a friend who's an artist and she thinks in pictures ...does Matt think in music?

no he didn't he did CIBM with a whole production around him (OK he didn't dance) and he did a couple sitting on the stairs and then moving around and he did a mix of slow and faster numbers. Nothing dramatic I admit but Matt so far has not moved from his mike stand.

The other issue is there was no obvious winner last year - the field was quite poor so I think Cowell was more ambivalent last year. This year there is a real chance he will be looking for an opportunity to knock Matt back.

There is absolutely no chance he is going out next week so he should go for it IMO

I feel like I'm pissing in the wind here - the GBP are not going to go off and search out Seven Summers - he needs to bring it to them. We know how extraordinary he is - but there is a huge wave of voters who only see what he does on a Saturday night

wkdstepmother, I agree completely.
Matt needs to start moving around, sing a real uptempo, not a slowed-down version, and he would gain from full production at some point.

I don't think he needs full production at all ...I think he needs guitar and ali and then Eltons Saturday would rock the house down

Right, hence When Love Takes Over which he did on the first week of the show.

He's capable of doing it, but I think he'll do it when he wants to do it, not ASAP, he knows what he's doing.

yeah I don't necessarily think he has to dance as part of the production but he's shown that he can shake his thang as part of the group numbers so a bit of production on an up beat number with him doing some movement as in walking around a bit and singing to various parts of the audience would benefi him as far as the show goes

It doesn't have to be cheesy but it would show that he can do it

Yes but most of the time he was still really. I am not worried people including myself just love to listen to his voice. I understand where you are coming from and I think he is about to really suprise us all. Savan said we have not seen all of his talents. I just love the sound of his voice not the jumping around. Louis said that Matt was concentrating on his voice and praised him for it. I think the big production might come along sooner or later but until then I am not worried.

I also understand you fear that SC will be looking for a chance to knock him back. I agree SC is quite happy to do that kind of thing however I think he realises that with Matt he has something different. Also what happened last year was easy to see SC wanted Joe to win, Joe was kept in the background this year again its different. Do you think that Matt is the clear winner?

With regards to Joe CARA knows more about what happened last year and it is really interesting.

It's not just SC, it's the public. Unless he can up his game every week singing a ballad, he is going to go down, not up and the public won't forgive him. If he changes his style to more upbeat and dynamic occasionally, his performances will come across fresh and new and he will avoid the boredom factor.

I know what you mean there are many on here who have informed the GBP and they have accessed the SS downloads. If you look on the Facebooks and twitter they know about SS and are spreading it around.

I do understand it when you say there are a great many voters who only see what he does on Saturday. Remember that SS is at the top part of downloads word of mouth is so important.

Had a little analysis of current position and no matter what I still think Matt is on for the win here. I really can't see anyone catching up to him. It is all down to those final song choices. They have played FT card now, so someone has to be confident that was is coming is damn well good.

I agree with you totally he has to have a mixture of songs however the song on Saturay was very slow and he is getting phenominal viewing figures. I also think its great it the audience recognise the song too. Brain and Savan have said we have not seen all of his talents and I cannot wait to see what they are. I am so thrilled that he has got this far.
