A Mobile Contract dilemma....

Right i have a dilemma.

Im currently with virgin with my current contract due to expire on 1st dec.

I am looking at contracts for around £20-25 with internet access, and preferably an Android based phone and GPS.

I have had a look at virgin offerings and the only one I like from them is the HTC Wildfire.

Where I live, the best signal[s] are Vodafone and O2.

O2 is just plain expensive for what you get.

Vodafone, again doesn't have a decent like-able phone for my budget.

I would like the SGS, but at £30, its quite expensive.

I have a mobile BB contract with T-Mobile and I could just add a mobile to my package.

My OH has a 3 phone, and could possibly add to her contract, but the signal isn't really great tbh.

The question is, do I go for the better signal and a crappier phone or a weaker signal and a decent phone for the next 2 years.......????

Phones that I have had a look at are [by Network]:

Remember: Budget £20-25, min 300mins, and >500mb to unlm web.

3:

Samsung Galaxy Portal @ £23/m [900Mins/Texts, 1GB net] - relatively Old model; released sept09

Vodafone:

Nothing in budget directly from site

O2:

Again, nothing directly from their site.

T-Mobile:

HTC Wildfire @ £20/m [300mins, 300txt, unlm web]

Motorla Defy @ £20/m [300mins, 300txt, unlm web]

Samsung Galaxy Apollo @ £20/m [600mins, 500txt, unlm web]

Orange:

Again, nothing directly from their site.

Virgin:

HTC Wildfire @ £25/m [b4 15% student discount] [600mins, unlim txt, unlim web]

The other way is to go to carphone warehouse, mobiles, phones4u etc and get vodafone/O2 contract that way.

So

CPW:

HTC Wildfire @ £25/m [Vodafone, 600mins, Unlim txt, 500mb web]

Phones4U:

HTC Desire HD @£25/m [T-Mob, 600mins, 500txt, unlim web after 30days]

anyother suggestions?

I could get a sim only plan with Vodafone/O2 and keep my mobile [LG Cookie KP500] with the possibility of upgrading to a mobile 6 months or so down the line of the sim only contract....

One other way I am tending to go for if I cant get a Vodafone contract is to add the Motorola Defy to T-Mobile, but in this instance, its the phone over signal.

So any advice????

thanks

I think 3 do the HTC Wildfire for £20 a month.

Out of all the networks I have used recently, they've been by far the best, especially for Internet Speed
