Darren Gough Taking Part?

My mum's Womans Own says: "Woman's Own can exclusively reveal that cricketer-turned Strictly star"... is getting his skates on!

He won Strictly Come Dancing , so how would he be able to take part when he has considerable dance experience! They're scraping the barrel if they're recruiting an ex SCD Winner!

According to that theory, Bonnie Langford, Suzanne Shaw, Ray Quinn and Hayley Tamaddon wouldn't have been able to compete.
Nor would Jeremy Sheffield (a former professional ballet dancer), who proved that dancers aren't automatically good skaters.
Nor would Matthew Cutler who's also rumoured to be a contestant this year and could technically be regarded as far more of a ringer than Darren Gough.
(Not that I'm objecting to Matthew Cutler as a contestant - quite the opposite in fact!)

Also how would u judge how much dance experience is allowed? People like Chris Fountain have had dance training etc. N would u only take recent dance experience or what, people like Daniella would have had when they were younger. It's a very difficult one to start filtering n saying people with X experience cant apply. I think once the public know about the dance experience it's fine cos they can take it into account. Dance training only really helps with rhythm n posture anyway, which u could have anyway, skating experience is far more of an advantage. I think tho that anything could b perceived to b an advantage really, but as long as voters know about say dancing/skating experience than it's fine. People tend to vote (forgive me for this) for the 'journey' n most improved anyway unless there's a real standout.
