I think its becoming clear the two best dancers are Kara and Matt.
Both are good at Latin and Ballroom. It looks like Scott's Latin maybe his downfall.

Agree, Scott's Salsa was mincey as was his Rumba.

Personally I'd say it's between Kara and Scott. I thought his salsa was pretty good and one bad Latin dance doesn't prove anything (especially if it's the rumba). I don't rate Matt at all, sorry... though I think he'll probably win.

I think it's too early to say definitively that Scott is poor at Latin as he has done so little of it. His Salsa was good and whilst his his Rumba was poor but a lot of good male dancers including Ramps struggle with the Rumba.

Kara & Matt are the best,i like Scott but he is not as good, his salsa was like disco dancing, nothing like a latin dance.

Agree, and he's partnered with ballroom specialist Natalie Lowe. Next few weeks could be interesting.

Matt is more of an all-rounder, Kara seems to excel in Latin while being competent in Ballroom.

Agreed.

I think there's still time for Scott's Latin to improve.

The dancing schedule hasn't helped his cause because there was a huge gap between his first Latin number and his second one.

Once he gets the hang of the technique, he'll get into more of a groove. Natalie will knock him into shape.

Very unfair on Scott that he will now have to a succession of latin dances due to the ridiculous scheduling of the dances this series.

Just a quick query, for any technical experts on here: Scott was dressed as a zombie when he got the tens for the VW, plus there was quite a bit of dry ice swirling around. Is it possible that he wasn't as good as tens deserved, was there a bit of stiffness in there covered by his zombie persona?

You could argue he's been very lucky to have so many ballroom dances while partnered with a ballroom specialist.

He uses that in EE!!

I'm not sure I would describe Natalie as a ballroom specialist. She danced beautifully with Ian Waite last year in both latin and ballroom

She has confessed to being a ballroom specialist herself in the past and her professional dance history aludes to that too. She is however far more versatile than Anton and Erin though.

Natalie's favourite dance is the Waltz, she said this in an interview before.

I would say that Scott is actually 'lucky' that he has his rhumba over and done with. Matt, however, might not be so esp. if he does his rhumba late in the competition, assuming he's not pushing out of the competition in the meantime.

I am sure that's true, but Matt's lack of practice and the quirky choreography are handicaps - am hoping he'll give Strictly more time as the competition hots up.

Kara is so elegant and athletic.

Until his hopeless rumba I thought that there were three difficult-to-divide leaders.

So Scott has one bad week and he's been written off, give him a break.

I haven't rated any of his Latin, so it's more than one bad week imo, it's a serious weakness in his chances of winning.

I definitely agree that the best dancer is between Matt and kara

Two. Two bad weeks, as far as dance technique in the Latin. His salsa was very un-latin (his basic movements were done poorly), and as written above was more like a disco show routine.

Well, people have already written Pamela off because of her jive.

I don't think Matt will have the same problem as Scott did with the Rumba. He has a gymnastics background, so I don't think he'll be worried about looking too "feminine".

My problem with Matt is that he has yet to wow me yet. A few of his dances have been overmarked too, most notably his Argentine Tango.

But he's also been undermarked in comparison to others on the same night The marking, especially Len's, has been irrational except if you believe that he's deliberately manipulating the order regardless of the merit of a particular performance. That's how I see it with my inexpert eyes.

My Aunt is an ex professional dancer and judge. She was and I assume still is well known in the dancing world. She said 'the one who dances with the girl with the red hair is good'

I'd still say it's between four - Scott, Matt, Pamela and Kara - Scott's got the rumba out of the way and Pamela's got shot of the jive, but I enjoyed both their salsas and am looking forward to their sambas, they've both got rhythm and timing so provided they've got entertaining routines, I think they'll be up there with the other two.

I doubt Matt's Rumba will be any better than Scott's!

Sort of agree there. I do wonder how the judges could see his feet and although it was a good competent dance, I really dont think it was 10s material.

I thought that too,how can the judges mark him if they cant see his feet,i dont think it was worth tens either.
