My cat's got conjunctivitis
Iggy's Boy
10-11-2010
I was the one the other day saying my cat had a squinty/crusty eye and then saying it seemed to get better.

Well, it got worse and I took her to the vet and they said it was conjunctivitis. I'm putting ointment in the bad eye every few hours and I've got to take her back on Monday.

Anyone had experiences of this?

They've made her wear one of those horrible plastic collars too so she doesn't rub her eye. God, it's making me so depressed and anxious seeing her mope around bumping it into things. They don't know why you've done this to them.

And friends who don't have cats don't really know how much having an ill pet affects you, do they?

Buy some Euphrasia Tincture from a chemist -Dilute 3/4 drops in boiled cool water in a dropper bottle. Apply to cotton pad and wipe eye(s) gently. Should clear up most eye irritations.
