"From the 13th October, the ‘skip forward’ button on the BT Vision remote control will work differently.
Currently, pressing the ‘skip forward’ button will move forward 30 seconds, WITHOUT you seeing the intermediate snapshots of content. From the 13th October, the ‘skip forward’ button will continue to move forward 30 seconds, but WILL allow you to view a series of snapshots of content. This change will only take effect after the Set Top Box has rebooted (for example, after it’s crashed, been switched off at the mains or when new Client software update is available). The change affects PVR, live broadcast and HD Download and Play because these all involve storing video on the hard disk of the Set Top Box. Video on Demand is not affected." |

You should be able to define the length of time for each skip.
If your recording is 3 hours long it takes forever to skip through at 30 second jumps. My hard disc DVD recorder does 30 secs/1 min/2 min/5min/10 min/30 min - so for example pressing skip 6 times in a row moves you on 30 mins.. |

much preferred this the old way. Could just skip ads by pressing it 5 or 6 times. Takes much longer now.

I mentioned the issue when I spoke to the Vision technical support people about something else and was told they had received a lot of queries and complaints. He though BT were going to do something about it. Maybe if we all phone up and complain we might get somewhere!
