So now Kanye West wants to do an album with Coldplay... Great yet another band ruined. The last band I've lost all respect for are Keane, who did the same with K'naan (and No, I didn't buy Night Train, and I won't buy this album if it happend.) English musics going down the toilet....

Haven't Kanye & Coldplay collaborated before on a song called Homecoming?

Yeah I'm not a fan of this sort of thing either. It's just a way of getting more chart success, throw a fairly successful US rapper on a song.

You haven't actually heard anything from the potential collaboration, and allready you are proclaiming it the end of English music. Bit premature?

In fairness, coldplay have been doing a perfectly good job of being rubbish for years now on their own, without needing to turn to Kanye West for help.

Sheeple like rap and R&B at the moment, so everyone is jumping on that bandwagon.

I'd say they'd be more likely to make an album with Jay-Z, they've already done a few tracks with him and Jay did the Linkin Park & R Kelly collab already.

And then real R'n'b can claim its name back from the computer crap that passes for R'n'b.

Chris sang on Kanye's album, which is fine by me because I wouldn't buy it.
You haven't actually heard anything from the potential collaboration.... Don't need to HATE that music with a pasion, I wouldn't go to another gig or anything because I'd be X time and X amount of songs with him/that style. And I think Lost? was runied, I know what to know about suicide, cusified etc Jay Z......

Well,I'm not a Coldplay fan but I like Hip Hop and RnB (and I'm not a sheep thanks!),so I'm on the fence about this. IMO the rock/indie groups want street cred.

I quite liked the Keane / K'Naan collaboration, that said, I'm a fan of both artists anyway.

Real rock groups don't need street cred, because rock/metal music has always been counter-culture. That's why Iron Maiden and Metallica can sell 100 million records, perform sell-out tours, but half the world couldn't name any of their songs.

Yes I was referring to Coldplay and Keane but I see your point.

"Real" R&B died in the 90s. It'll never come back.

Don't buy it, quite simple, and wait until their next album comes out.

considering R&B has been popular for atleast a decade, closer to two, how is it a fad?
