I saw Alex as just some sort of well engineered robot. When he spoke, it felt like he was speaking AT you, and was never thinking that he'd actually listen to your reply. Just nod and go "Mmnn, yeah" I really want Sandeesh to go next now Think she's useless.

Michael Scott/David Brent.
On 'You're Fired' he actually said 'I see myself as part comedian, part retail guru' or something very similar. He shoots himself in the foot, and I for one would love to see a documentary series on him. I'd totally, totally watch that. I might even pitch it to the BBC I like it so much. |

He is very Alan Partridge.
Perhaps the bastard clone genetically engineered with chromosomes from David Brent AND Alan Partridge and 'hosted' by Bella Emberg. It could happen. |

Physically, he actually reminds me of a shorter and chattier version of my ex-boyf! They even went to the same high school. Alex is very much a figure of fun. Most people come off better in 'You're fired' but he seemed to have got loopier over the past, few months.
In terms of a well-known figure, he's definitely David Brent and Alan Partridge's love child. For the record, who on earth describes themselves as an 'unemployed head of communications'? Therefore, couldn't I describe myself as 'potential Prime Minister'? |
