with the exception of Stubags, the ones with personality (hideous though they are) are dropping like flies

look at who else is left - liz (nice), stella (has she spoken recently), chris (nice posh boy), jamie (nice posh boy), sandeesh (zzzz), laura (whiny nightmare), joanna (not quite as dull as the rest) and christopher (sleazebag)

they are all just so bland don't you think? is it too much to ask that someone is competent, capable AND charismatic??

in previous series these types wouldn't have been fired right away they would have been kept in longer for entertainment. But this series i get the feeling Alan Sugar is tired of these types and has learnt from the Michael Sophicles and Ben from series 5

I take the opposite view.

I've really disliked it in the past when Sugar has held onto candidates for entertainment value.

I do genuinely get more satisfaction out of watching someone like Liz (who might not be the most sparkling personality) doing well.

I've just grown a bit tired of so called 'big characters' on reality tv.

I don't disagree with you per se - I just think it's a bit disappointing that we have to have one or the other! I've worked with loads of people who are talented and fun with it

Chris & Jamie posh? Sorry but not where I come from. I think Liz should win. She has done really well in previous weeks. No-one did well this week.

I totally agree with you Dolly. Stuart came good tonight but the rest are just lightweights. It's highlighted for me tonight that the show has run its course. Maybe Margaret knew that when she took up her PhD?

Unfortunately I agree. Having watched The Apprentice from the start, this years cast are by far the most tedious, uninteresting we've ever had, and it irks me that none of them are particularly charismatic, personality or business wise. LAS has definitely turned a corner in terms of who hes choosing to fire. If this series was one of the earlier ones, I'd bet my bottom dollar that the likes of Dan, Paloma, Shibby, Melissa and Alex would all still be there.

Having said that, I still think The Apprentice has life left in it. With a well balanced cast of likable, entertaining and competent candidates (Series 3 and 5) it would be much better.

I agree Sid, one cannot but come to the conclusion that many previous apprentice candidates were selected or retained because, despite being appalling at business, they were dramatic and made car crash telly.

This lot have more going for them than the series 4 incompetents. Jenny Celery, Alex '24' Wotherspoon, Mickey 'the dip' Sophocles and Lindi Mganza plumbed depths that paul Callagham could but only aspire to

Agreed, there is absolutely nothing posh about Chris or Jamie, they have much more in common with market stall holders than posh people.
